This is great Mike! Madeline ain't no car chick, she's a car babe! 😉 This video is done so well, from the music you chose, interspersed with slo mo and all the details that you all covered is amazing. I do like Madeline's ratings on all the wheels, especially those silver ones where she rated them as a 10 and even you went 9.5. I'd say those wheels are a win across the board! You know I've always been a go chrome of go home guy, but I'm changing, and as you know, I've put money where my mouth is and there is no more chrome on my C6 GS. I love how all these C8 wheels allow for much wider tires. The more rubber that meets the road is always a win in my book. I've been looking for 13" wide wheels for the rear without success. I think the only factory car that had 13's was the Viper. Save the Waves guys and girl.🙋‍♂🙋‍♂🙋‍♂🙋‍♂🙋‍♂

Never really liked black or carbon flash rims, but this comparison has shifted me.

Wow this is the best video yet Mike! I have the same Red Mist HTC C8, so this is like your putting them on my car as well....😃. Now I have the 20 spoke OEM gloss black rims but the MC 20's in gloss black are killer too. I don't think that you could go wrong with any of those wheels thought.

I have the Forgedlite MC-5's in brushed aluminum (20/21) on my black C8 Z51 and I absolutely LOVE them . They have totally transformed the car !! Now every time I look at it , Im crazy about it . Thank you for not doing black only. Black is the trend but I can't help but prefer the silver on colors like dark red and dark blue especially. The silver seems to bring out the paint color better. To each his own but nice to see a variety here.

Great narration, group participation, Madeline’s “wrench” talents and stylish presence (bring her back for more), Darrin’s tech and wrap-up comments definitely rate this comparison a big thumbs up. My vote, the MC20 two-piece wheels. With their brushed spokes, polished outer barrels and hardware make these wheels the winner. In close second, the OEM 70th Anniversary wheels (you know why).

I don't like black wheels although I like the styles. Both of those blacks look great on white, but I much prefer the brighter options. you can actulally SEE them. I like the 70th anniv wheels too. But the last bright wheel was the bomb. Also. we will be needing to see more of Madeline on this channel. ..just saying.

The 2 piece DC20 wheels with the brushed aluminum face and polished lip are definitely my absolute favorite. Those wheels are SUPER sexy!

Just purchased OEM 20-spoke forged in BRONZE (white car). The bronze color is subtle, not gaudy. You can order these on your build, but being a Chev "accessory", I think they're dealer installed (and expensive $3200), I paid $2300 from ShopChevyParts. NOTES: A 10-spoke forged wheel will weigh less than a 20-spoke forged wheel...is it as strong? Having the wheel flush at the top of the fender means it's out too far further down, where a lot of crap gets thrown on the fenders...hey, you can always add tacky mud flaps. Going to 20/21" fills the gap nicely, but makes the small C8 brakes look even smaller. Black wheels are very popular...too bad you need a 2000 watt 20-LED light array just to see what they look like.

That was one of the bast comparo videos for Rims I've seen for a Corvette.

70th Anniversary wheels

My favorite is not really there but, I like the bright spokes with more spokes but not two piece. So would like best something like the last dark wheel if it was bright. Not a real fan of the two piece hardware...bit too busy. Tended to find Madeline's assessment to be most accurate. I actually really like the new bright E-Ray wheels.

yES ! This what the men want to ssee in a haul. strait out of the video game lets change those tires!

The oem C8 wheels are made from cast aluminum (poured) and the aftermarket ones are T6061 Forged monoblock (cut from one piece block aluminum) This is where the differe in weight because cast tends to be heavier than a monoblock forged. For track or Top speed runs id go with the stocks for any other activity aftermarket ones are better looking. Trying painting the inner barrel same color as the or something different than black.

I got the OEM red striped wheel... Was worth it to me... I won't be changing

Should have weighed the 20 spoke forgelite in comparison to the 20 spoke 70th wheel ,, not compared a 10 spoke to 20 spoke . Would have given a better comparison . More aluminum in the design . Unfare weight comparison .

I just weighted factory oem 20 spoke vs Forgedlite my 20’s similar design and can confirm 6.1 pounds lighter. We will weight, film and document with video this weight savings.

I like the second gloss black wheels. Just got a torch red c-8 I need help with wheel set up.

I think the owner liked the 70th anniv. or the FL silver wheels on his car. The 70 th anniv. were awesome for stock.

I waited 2 months to try to get the black rims , and settled on the 70th wheel

MC 20 2 PIECE WHEELS AND TIRES ARE THE BOMB

FYI, my Forgeline Wheels, with the same tires are lighter than the C7 ZO6 factory wheels. You guys should have the ACS Composite wheel lug guides

On the MC20, the spokes that stick out is where they will take your fingers off.

Mc20 2 pc silver. The last ones w/ blades that stick out.

The MC20's, I'd prefer them in Black Chrome 20's for the front, 21's for the rear.

No wrong choice in my opinion. Awesome video!

@@nrdemon1031 2LT convertible with the white interior. Yellow seatbelts to compliment the brakes and optioning the chrome badges as opposed to the default black. It's a clean, timeless, and affordable(ish) configuration. 👌🏽

It is fascinating how this is so subjective. I think the brushed aluminum are about a 5 or a 6 and the MC 20’s we’re closer to a 10. I didn’t like the carbon flash- it looked like they had overspray on them. While I do like the factory black wheels, I also agree that the offset was better on the after market wheels.

Wheels and Paint/interior colors are very personal, really just comes down to what you like is all that matters.

Great informational video! I have the Carbon Flash Anniversary Edition C8 and would like to know if Forgedlite makes the M5 in polished Aluminum? Also like the MC20 2 piece but really think adds a lot of time in keeping them clean, similar to my OEM wheels. Again, GREAT video!!

I just saw this video I liked all the wheels but you were missing one combination which would be polished or chrome outer edge of the wheels with the spokes being carbon flash black. That would have been the one I would’ve picked.

Hard to go wrong with any of the Forgedlite wheels from Wheel Designers.

Great video and thanks for doing this! I love all the wheels and would not be able to decide. LOL. Quick question regarding ceramic coating the wheels. If you ceramic coat the inside barrels, do you need to worry about the wheel weights. Do they coat the entire barrel or leave an area un-coated or does it even matter.

I always suggest telling the place that's mounting and balancing them that they car coated .. and to use alcohol to remove or clean the area before weights are applied

Great video Mike. I have Vossen gloss black HF7 wheels with michelin 325-25-21 and 255-30-20 tires +52 and +35 offset. Looking at mid May for delivery for my Red Mist C8 Z51. Any clearance issues with the factory rock guard? Also any chirping during slow speed tight turns?

All the black rims look alike. You can't notice the design differences as much as you can on lighter colored ones.

Btw, I could have sworn I saw the Red Mist with the brushes aluminum wheels a few times on Corvettes and Coffee
