    Did this exact solution thank you so much Brandon! I have the Alpha arms and the REP pins. Works like a champ. I LOVE doing dips on these. One "hack" I've seen others mention that works GREAT with these is using a band for assisted dips. They fit great over the pins and provide excellent accommodating assistance with dips.

    I love this set up and copied it. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t want a dedicated rack mounted dip station for two reasons, one don’t want to leave it on the rack to get in way all time, and two with a smaller home gym it takes up too much space on floor or wall.

    I put a plate holder peg on one of the front uprights and another on the adjacent back upright. They're smooth and a wide grip, but functional. So I'm dipping on the side (which is not as wide as the front) of the BoS tall residential power rack. Works for me, and I'm 5'1".

    After hating the rack attached dip bars. I bought the EliteFTS/WS E-series V bar dip station. Makes getting into position for weighted dips so much easier and no upright to hit my face. And it isn’t that much more expensive than the velocitdor or UDA.

    @@BasementBrandon yea I looked at that one too, but the one mentioned above is full sized, for lack of a better descriptor, and has a step up bar running under the bars, so you step up into the top position versus sort of jumping into the starting position. And it lets me get the perfect hand placement. And I did love dips, but the rack attached ones never felt good. And the width was too wide for me.

    Have you considered using the Sorinex dip attachment on the iron bear that you have? I just leave it there stored and flip it down when I need it. It will hold with a pin directly behind the upright so it flips down in the correct way to jump right into dips. I also do dips facing the other way instead of facing the upright.

  • @BasementBrandon

    @BasementBrandon

    I have way too much stuff on my iron bear so there isn't room to mount.

    I use a 43" flip down safety and a couple of Monster weight storage pins. All things considered, it works great. It's very stable and seems like it would be superior in that regard to something that attaches to a single post. I have considered alternatives to the weight storage pins as they can be a bit slick under certain conditions. They're also pretty thick. Some might call them girthy. I'm surprised Rogue doesn't offer a 30" flip down safety. It would be interesting to hear the rationale behind that decision.

    @@BasementBrandon it’s actually super easy! Not any harder than mounting the OC, where you have to hold it with one hand and slide the pin in with the other. You insert the pins directly into the rack and rest the crossmember on them. Pull one out and insert into the crossmember hole and then repeat on the other side.

  • @BasementBrandon

    Mine is the longer option. I have no need for it so 1" would work, i'm guessing they do that so they work on posts that are smaller than 3" wide.

    Hey Brandon - can you Oak Club Campbells be attached to those spotters? I'm considering buying them because I often do rear-foot-elevated split squats in my rack but in the reverse direction and want to be able to mount handles somewhere to hold. Or, I guess I could solve that by somehow getting my rack-attached utility roller behind me somehow; any ideas?

    I have these same handles in the same size and love them. However I bought the very first batch of the actual dip attachment from MM before he even started putting his logo on the unit. The knurling on those handles is SHARP. Like really sharp. I like them but it's almost like borderline painful to do high rep dips lol. The shorter 12" ones I got are not really ideal for the attachment itself though because you're too close to the upright. That knurling on my first batch is money though, wish he made a bar like that.

    Hey Brandon, on the Alpha arms is the UHMW more of a matte black or gloss black? I was looking to upgrade my Alpha arms to gloss black. However from all the pictures I’ve seen, the UHMW looks like it would color clash with gloss black. I requested Oak Club to send me a picture of gloss black Alpha arms unfortunately they didn’t have any to send over. I would like them gloss black however, I don’t want to receive them and they end up being two toned but not in a good way. First world problems, right
