Brilliant idea! Definitely going to try this! I’ve been looking at bins trying to find the right sizes for my IKEA Alex drawer units but now think I will give this a try as this will allow me to place my craft supplies exactly where I want them. Beautiful color you chose, by the way! Thanks!

Definitely going to do this project. I didn't realize you had a KZread channel until today when I got the email with the serger t-shirt Q&A from the Sewing Expo, and you included the link to your video about knits.

I'm so glad you found me! I'm really happy with my drawers. The project does take some time but it's so nice to open pretty drawers and have the spaces for each thing.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I actually had some of these foam boards left over from when I made fabric headboards for my kids. I also had leftover fabric from the headboards so a win win.

You're welcome! I'm delighted to hear that the tutorial was helpful for you, and it's fantastic that you could put those leftover foam boards and fabric to good use 😍😍💜💜
Very nice. Since I am a home sewer and don't do for business, I don't have as much as you do and I am on my minimalist journey, so I use this huge tin that used to house holiday cookies from UK. This project would work for that too. Thanks Christine.

I'm so glad!
It looks awesome! Did you use chalk to mark the position of the divisions for gluing?
@SewingandtheCity
15 күн бұрын
I didn't, I just placed them as I wanted and then carefully glued them. But you could definitely mark them to be extra sure!
Fabulous idea, and I love the fabric. Can you remember where you got it from, as it is what drew me to this amazing channel? Would love to know. Thankyou so much for sharing your ideas. I will now spend time doing the catch up viewing, and transforming drawer space as soon as I get the materials.

Hi Daisy! Thanks for tuning in :-) I'm glad you found the channel. The fabric is a Kaffe Fasset. You'll never believe but I got it for 3.99 a yard on sale. So I got 2 color ways! Here is what it says on the selvedge: "Kaffe Fasset Collective for Free Spirit pwgp 173 Stone flower". If you type that into Google, you'll find it still available in a few places :-)

My next project! 😊 One quick question: Did you mark your dividers before you took them out to hot glue? Thank you!
@SewingandtheCity
Жыл бұрын
Great!! I didn't actually, I did one at a time carefully. But you could use a pin to mark, I think.
Do you know how to make one from paper or cardboard ?
