Just an fyi bud, the autos can fade in the sun. It’s a noticeable difference as well. Just keep that in mind. Hope you guys are still enjoying the hobby together :)

Thanks! They are all in UV protected one touch cases and don't get any direct sunlight so they should be good. Appreciate the heads up

Love this!! Two suggestions: 1st:film videos with your phone sideways 2nd: screw everything to plywood instead of the drywall. That way if you ever move or your son moves out, it will be easier to move your card display. Once again. Looks awesome!!

For a more refined look, I glued three wood sections of trim from Lowes using a c-clamp and then stained. Similar result.

I'd add that it might make sense to add white electrical tape over the flatheads to keep cards safe and have a cleaner look

You can adjust the separation to fit whatever card size you have

Great Idea. I spent 5 hours creating a J channel out of wood... UGH... I was wondering if you find the top piece necessary? I watched one where the guy didn't have the top and it just leaned against the wall. What do you think, is the top necessary?

We didn't add end pieces so we could remove the cards when we want, but could be a good idea if you don't need to get them out

@@ImmaBWatchin no, not exact same stuff but should work. Might want to bring a card to the store to check dimensions to ensure it is the right size. The ones I found at my home depot were 1/2" x 10'. Might try Lowes or Menards or similar if you can't find it at your local HD. Good luck. Hope you find something that will work for you!

We never framed it since we are always moving cards and looking at them. Nothing new other that it's full and we need another or other storage idea?

Anyone know the long term effects of sun/UV rays on cards? Also, are normal top loaders UV protected? Just curious before I install this in a bright sunny room.

Our display does not get direct sunlight. The one touch mags we use are UV protected. I don't think a standard top loader would provide the same protection and they don't fit as well as the one touches which fit snuggly in the display J channel. They will work but will be loose in the display channels.

top loaders do not provide any uv protections. if you are going to display toploaders using this system, go to the paneling aisle and pick up some vinyl paneling end caps. same idea as this, but instead of the channel being 1/2" thick the channel is like 1/8" thick. way better fit for toploaders.

I'm not sure what command strips are. Any channeling that has the correct spacing for the cards should work using the same spacing method
