Brilliant. If you like the LED aspect, a couple of low power lights with a slow blink pattern looks like moving blades.

I quite frequently use my 1 inch punch and punch circles out of card to use as painting bases for my minis. Super useful purchase

This is a great set of tips! My wife is a weapons grade scrapbooker and has a whole stack of these punches, so I'll certainly be making some of these. Top Tip: For the love of God always ask the wife before using any of her scrapbooking gear 😉

I SO needed to see this tutorial :-D I've been building sci-fi terrain for years (I started with my mums pots and pans WAY back in 1972, when she bought me my first box of 1/32 Airfix British Commandos, and went on from there :->), yet have always struggled with making fans for air ducts etc. So thankful I saw this today, as I've just started making even more terrain for a summer project, and this just shows me how easy it is to make, saving me so much time, effort (AND swearing :->) and throwing away my failed attempts. LOVE your videos, as every one brings something new to learn, and this after 50 years of being involved in the hobby :-)

You should be able to build a very credible turbo-fan engine with the fans from this build and the right size of PVC pipe if you're doing air-breathing small-craft. Or hovercraft lift fans, for that matter.

Thankyou so much. I've just built a variation of your fan. It looks really good. You've helped a lot in the finishing touches to my diorama, so again, thank you.

Great video, quick question though - will the fan blades bent by hand retain their shape if you modpodge them to seal and protect before painting? or will they warp?

That depends on the card stock. I use food package card like from frozen pizza. Also in large part I spray paint these details to glue on after the modpodge step.
