Camp craft, wood craft, bush craft - Label doesn't matter. Acquiring skills & wisdom to utilize resources from the great outdoors for comfort, shelter - and yes, even "survival" - is what matters most, IMO. Camp seat = knowing how to deploy tri-pods in a number of different situations. Equals wisdom about cordage, knots, qualities of wood for support, cutting tool skills & more. FWIW, been many times I would have loved to have a stool, like yours, in the past. Thank you for sharing. Hope you'll do more "camp craft" to aid young folks, just getting started. And for old folks, like me, who still have a lot more to learn.

That's really cool! Besides just bushcraft scenarios, I do Civil War reenacting, and this would be a great piece to keep in an encampment, by using period correct cordage. Great idea.

That is a pretty nice little stool! I like how it's kinda 'flimsy' cause as you said, it kinda hugs ya, it's not stiff, it kinda bends. Very good thinking! Being comfortable can really help morale and generally more pleasant, I totally agree.

The little bought ones aren't at all comfortable after a few minutes. I once tried to salvage the seat from one and make a taller tripod for it from sticks. It doesn't allow the legs to open enough to make it stable. Great idea here. Some sticks, a few feet of cordage, and a little time. Thanks.
