Hey Ryan, don't know if you or any of your viewers are into strongman but I found a cool way to make a circus dumbbell out of 2 bbq propane tanks.just cut the valve guard and bottom ring of with a zip cup wheel on a grinder.unscrew valve with pipe wrench.put tape on threads of valve hole so concrete doesn't get in threads when pouring.fill tanks with desired weight in cement.if you didn't fill tank or close cut 2 rebar pieces just long enough to go from bottom of tank to tuck under the valve hole and leave to dry.you need rebar so a partially filled tank won't have the big chunk of cement sliding back and forth in the tank.take a six"gas pipe with threads on both sides and cut the head of a 6"long bolt of appropriate diameter to fit inside gas pipe, use tape to keep it snug if necessary.take pipe wrench and thread gaspipe in first tank and then thread in second tank.there ya go.if you want to get fancy you can use hole saw to cut a 1 1/2"hole in bottom of tanks before filling.after concrete drys use 1"concrete bit to drill about 5"in concrete through hole in bottom of tanks.chip enough cement away from around hole in concrete so you can drop a1"nut in so it is only 1/4" above bottom of tank, you will have to round corners of nut with grinder so it will fit the 1/12" hole in tank.weld nut in place.now screw tanks into gas pipe and done.now you can load 10lb standered plates on to bottoms of tanks with a 1" bolt with a washer on it.could use 25stoo I imagine, unfortunately I am not that strong enough to need to

@@RyanTreadaway thanks.I don't have facebook or ig,lol I am old fashioned I guess, didn't even know how to comment on you tube until about a year ago and still don't know how to upload a picture but I'll ask my stepson to see if he will help me set up an ig account to send it to you.maybe you could do a how too video on it or some of the other projects I have done since this covid crap forced me to set up another home gym.I had to make an adjustable bench, half rack to bolt to the wall since I don't have much room ,concrete weight plates because i only had about 250lbs of steel plates left over from my last home gym years ago, adjustable dumbell handles,a dead lift platform and a high low pulley setup.I am working on some lever arms for the rack so i can do some hammer strength style presses and rows.i would like to make a log and yoke as well to use outside since the weather is getting nice here now.I have been into bodybuilding for the last decade or so but have always been a fan of strongman and since this pandemic thing i have got into strongman training to vary my workouts since I have been forced to have to train with more basic equipment.may be a blessing in disguise.

Depending on how rounded you want it, you can also use a hammer to knock the corners of the wood in to smooth/round the sharp corner - I did that on one of my projects to avoid dust!

The saw blade is installed backwards that is why you are getting burn marks on wood and make the winding noise
