Divorce: The Last Resort {Jumu'ah Khutbah} | Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi

Marriage will always have a lot of ups and downs. It doesn't matter how much patience you might have, there will be obstacles that you will need to overcome. Divorce should always be a last resort and you should try to work things out as much as possible!

For me, the Highlight of the lecture was when he said, show Allah that you can stay apart from your wife in the same house without hugging and kissing her for 3 months and then proceed to the next step. Beautiful wisdoms in working with human psychology that Allah created, SubhanaAllah! Jazakallah khair!

Salathul isthihara Fiq 1. Women is not in her monthly cycle 2. Doesn’t have intercourse with her in last month between the cycle 3. Divorce when you are patient 4. Dont give triple talaq at a time and it’s advisable to wait for 3 to 6 months between each talaq 5. Women should stay at his home not even touching are kissing or touching. It really depends on the seriousness of the issue. 3 years is a long time and can be difficult for the spouse who is actually trying to make it work. Personally I divorced my wife after a year. She wasn't trying to make it work or showed any interest from the beginning. I knew my rights and I divorced her. Not proud of that decision. But had to be done.

The problem is, that one of my chid is a special need and my X-wife doesn't have a place to live. And I'm not the type of coward men who throw their divorced wives & children from home. Her siblings live in a different State. A lot of men have evil behaviors. They get negative advantage of divorced women. Especially in 3rd world countries..even in western countries.
