@@Monkforilla How would you NOT have emotions just because it makes you upset to see your son again, possibly sending the parents deeper into the spiral of grief? Keep in mind the fact that the parents were likely not happy to hear their son had died while swimming. So that takes "happy" and "no emotions" out. How could we possibly know how the parents spent their life? It could have been filled with adventure just like their son so it makes what you're saying is completely out of left field and disproven by common sense really.

There is no escaping the grief of losing a child. Hearing him and having a video of him happy and enjoying living life is an amazing treasure for these parents. Grief is inescapable and often the littlest things will bring grief crashing down. I wish I had a video of my daughters last day. Never tire if hearing her voice.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED: after watching the divers video where he finds the go pro it's apparent that richard swam out to the waterfall, which is deeper than they make it out to be, the diver had to use a flashlight to see because the sunlight didn't penetrate to the bottom, and when richard got under the waterfall it pushed him down and he drowned. In the divers video the waterfall isn't nowhere near as strong as it is in Richard's video. If they would've shown a 3 second clip of the diver resurfacing from under the waterfall in their montage of clips it would have made the incident crystal clear. Hope it helps anyone that is left wondering what happened

I start from shallow section and entered deep section and rose up in another shallow section and let watch friend who could swim. I did it several times where I choked on water in process of drowning. We learn this way because we don't have privilege of swimming pool in our country.

I've actually drowned once, kind of. Not deadly, though. It's a 2 meter depth pool, I jumped in, went a bit to the middle (I was trying to learn on how to swim), and since I couldn't swim, like, at all, I was drowning right away. My friend came down the pool and helped me. I was panicked, and at the time he reached me, I clinged up to him, while still in panic and moved a lot. It made my friend couldn't swim well, and so we both were drowning lol. We finally managed to get back until someone that is closest to the edge pulled us so that we can touch the edge and get up from the water. So yeah, to help someone that is drowning, I think they should know things first. It would've gone well if he told me to not to panic, or he has some lifejacket or rubber on him, or whatever to made the drowned people not panicking while holding to the saver.

He could have swam out into the deep end, gotten a cramp and went under. Drowning is terrifyingly silent, it you aren’t always paying attention Someone can go under and never come back up again. If he was diving down every now and then his friends probably didn’t even think anything of not seeing him on the surface. He also seemed to be a bad swimmer, since he is kinda dog paddling in the last clip. Many people overestimate themselves while swimming and can’t reach shore again. There is also many other possible factors like currents, sudden drops in the ground and his friends not being good swimmers either. Rescuing a drowning person is insanely dangerous and if you aren’t a good swimmer + trained in doing it you can very easily drown as well. Also they probably didn’t show the clip of him drowning / didn’t give further information on the circumstances of his death because the family asked them not to.

He likely dove, and blacked out. the other friends just having a good time too and didn't notice till minutes too late. You can drown in a matter of minutes. I almost drowned in a pool filled with people. I think most don't know the signs - drowning isn't always as obvious as the stuff we see in movies. In my case, I could get only my hand above the water - it was nothing like the flailing victim splashing about on TV - and nobody could notice my small hand frantically waving around for help.

At least his parents got to know that even though his life was brief, he was happy, he had friends, and he truly lived his life.

I can’t imagine how grateful his family would have been watching this.

Honestly was just sad at first until I watched the videos of this brotha and it made me so happy, I love seeing happy people living life , there's honestly nothing better

@adrian keep in mind what i'm saying rn. When a verified youtuber with more than 100k subscribers but with less than 5k views on every video, comments on video, he is actually looking for clout.

How heartbreaking. He looks like such a fun guy, who just enjoyed his life. I bet his family is glad to be able to have those joyful moments of him now.

What a blessing that the parents got to see their child living to the fullest.

Omg I actually cried he looked so happy. So glad the diver found it and gave it back to the family❤

Watching things like this I can always feel the love the family has for who passed away, and the positive energy from the one who passed away... it always makes me cry.

Just imagine the joy and emotions the parents would have felt seeing the last moments of their son being so happy and enjoing life

It was a very bitter but sweet moment.

Everyone saying how sad is that he died in a day he was having so much fun and joy. At least he had that day and did not die sick in a bed, sometimes is better like this than waiting for it. Just hope he did not suffer.

@John Bravo actually I've heared (and not experienced it myself lol) that no oxygen makes ur brain hallucinate after a while and pretty much puts you in a mind of state u cant grasp anything. There is a video on KZread where pilots need to go into pressure chambers and try to solve simple child puzzles and they can't and they just accept the fact they can't get oxygen and will die. It's quite scary to watch, but from what I've learned drowning is only half as bad as it looks as a way to die.

@@aaronsyrup1320 its very traumatic to drown. I hate to inform you but he most certainly suffered. It is sad that he did but like someone else said unless he was unconscious before drowning he suffered.

Not really during drowning it would be painful and terrifying at same time.

Very thankful that one officer told the man to look for the lost go pro, you can hear how happy the diver is when he found it and I know the family will forever cherish those images ❤️

Can’t bring him back, but you sure brought some memories back for the family! 😊

I’m now mid-spiral of increasingly morbid videos like this, damn.

@ Visucircla, This is not a morbid video. It's a video of a young man enjoying life to the fullest.. Just sad that he lost his life during this time of his adventure. Goes to show, we should all enjoy everyday of life to the fullest, I may be our last.

Why did I think it was a video of him drowning and his last struggles? 🤦🏻‍♀️ glad they were happy moments. Parents must have been happy to have that treasure

In my opinion, the look on his face as he dog paddles into deeper water indicates this is that very moment. He looks like he didn't swim well, or at all, and maybe didn't want to embarrass himself.

This was a great find espically for his family. Peace be upon his soul🙏🏽 Damn that's sad....

Poor guy he seemed like a fun and wild person. Bless him and his family.

I don't know how durable gopro hero 5 is and how watertight the sd compartment is, but i have to say, it's really fortunate and lucky that the memory card remained fine, after 2 years of being in the lake, i wouldn't say it's God or anything but maybe just luck and fortunate idk because i don't really know the durability of the device

This just broke my heart just from the title, but when they showed the video of him smiling so big (such an infectious smile)-an adventurous, joyful life taken too soon. I pray this video brought any amount of healing to his family ❤️

I can relate I didn’t swim in this lake that this young man died in but when I was in the 4th grade I had a older neighbor (5th grader)and I was friends with him and his younger sister ab 6 or 7 and she had drowned in sandy river (Oregon ) this was ab 7 years ago I’ve went swimming in there multiple times throughout my life and I just can’t not think of her everytime I even look at the river even after all these years passed still sad to this day her parents didn’t even try to jump in and save her out of fear for their own lives they literally Had to leave the woods run to a place with service to call 911 while she was drowning :(

Seeing him having a fun time with his friends and knowing that at the end of the day he will be dead brings me to tears! Prayers for his family.

This is so heartbreaking! He seemed like such an awesome and funny person! Rest in peace! You will be missed!💔😭

this is... depressing to watch, to see such an eccentric and happy young man filled with positivity and good vibes, it's really sad to hear that those were also his final moments. I try my best to tell myself that at least he died happily and enjoying his life, but he definitely had so much more to come if only. Rest in Peace.

Gave me chills. Like he's speaking from the grave to tell his family he was happy. Idk sounds crazy to say but kind of like a moment for the family to have him again even if just in the video. Being able to give that family that mans last day on earth idk seems very amazing. Glad the guy found it and gave it to his family to have. What a sad ending to a guy who seemed really fun.

i watch alot of youtuber treasure hunters who do this type of thing.... they get hella excited like that with damn near every find.... "i found a quarter...
