I checked this out at Target and I really prefer Hasbro's version so much more. The electronics are not discernible at all and Hasbro's feels organic - this feels like a robot version with all those loud mechanisms. It's a shame, I'm sure it's a fun toy otherwise. I'd also note that the demo mode had the same issue of the hand shaking - I think that's intentional to show his "struggle" using the Force.

The arm movement....the strangest thing ever? Isn't it using the force?

Thx for this review cause I was already looking to purchase the smaller version, but seeing how noisy the larger one is... I am glad I was able to see all options before making my purchase and will stick with my 1st choice

When his arm twitches it’s because in the show when he tries to use the force he twitches a little

Hand gesture is supposed to be him using The Force (telecenetics), but he also should close his eyes at that moment to be exactly like in the show. But overall pretty impressive toy. He almost feels real.

I got one but it didn’t have the necklace ONLEY the control and groggy

We got one for our grandson and you make it look like fun! I pressed the front button and it makes noises. I put 2 AAA batteries in the remote but no response. Watching your video I’m thinking that I’d need to move the switch on the bottom to Active mode. I don’t want to disturb the packaging anymore so as long as I bring AA and AAA batteries at Christmas do you think we’re good to go. Thanks!!!

Theres a version from target it’s basically the same thing it just doesn’t have the necklace and he has plush hands I have the version from target

I bought the doll in an underground antique store in the old part of New York from an old Chinese guy who was telling me all kinds of stuff in his own language, I coudn't understand a word. Anyway is it normal for the doll to wake up in de middle of the night, he seems to go straight for the kichen drawer where all my knives are located. Is this a bug? Perhaps I should send it back..

Though I absolutely LOVE the Mattel baby Yoda Animatronic, my ears are sensitive so the noise is, meh, not for me. I'd raver wait until they fix the Mattel baby Yoda Animatronic to be more quite. But so far I prefer the plush. Until the Animatronic is more quite I don't think I would see myself actually getting it.

You would think they could put quieter motors in that thing

The fact its so loud ruins it for me, would of been well cool if it wasn't so loud. Shame, not sure if there's a better/quieter one out there or not. This would be a good buy for my son but the motors being so loud kinda makes it a bit whacky imo.
