@@jimriver912 they're the 16-bit versions, staying true to form. they'd have to redo them to look correctly on modern screens. so they didn't downsize, they just didn't upsize.

Capcom should re-release all their great Disney games. Mickey's Magical Quest was awesome.

It could replace Deep Jungle if they ever need a jungle level for some reason.

I like how they labeled the games with a "Console N" and "Console S" for the Sega Genesis and SNES. I loved playing the Sega versions.

It’s good that Disney is taking an initiative to rerelease their classic games. More companies need to rerelease their classic games.

@@bk6555 The Pixel Remasters have been great, some bugs aside, and giving classic Dragon Quest games the Octopath treatment is exactly what they should be doing.

Still waiting for the Disney Afternoon Collection to get ported to Switch. I have it on Steam, but I prefer playing the retro games in Handheld Mode. 😉

@@andrewpotts yeah, but I don’t trust Steam to make a competent console. Remember the last time they tried entering the hardware market? Not even a year and a half before they had totally abandoned it. They’ve given no assurances to consumers that they will do any better this time.

@@wilhobbs4451 you can make any excuses you want to justify your personal purchase; and more power to you if you enjoy it. But let’s face facts here Valve is not going to get the general gaming public with this device. They are not going to get the hardcore PC crowd either. It’s a small subset of the gaming public who are ardent fans of Valve who are going to be familiar enough with their OS to jump through the hoops to have the best experience with this piece of hardware and game enough on the go to manage with the comparatively weaker specs this will offer them compared to their Gaming Rig at home. Oh, and that number of users will be further reduced by those people who have a gaming laptop that is equivalent/superior to it already. The Switch hits some very different boxes of potential consumers; very few of which any current or near future rivals would also hit.

The Hercules and Tarzan games were the only Disney games I remember playing on my PS1 as a kid, but man were they good. At least to 4/5 year old me 😆

WOW it actually looks like something like this should. Allowing proper use of the emulator and granting bonus content. I hope this satisfies fans of these games.

OMG seeing these games brought back soooo much nostalgia!! I still remember all of them and how fun yet challenging they felt. The part with Timon and Pumbaa was always so satisfying ☺️

Hope they can get a lot more in there, both sega and capcom produced the best disney games of the 90s

Capcom only made one of these and Sega made none. Virgin was the one in charge of all but Aladdin for the SNES. Being present on a console doesn't mean the owner of the console made it. Even most exclusives had nothing to do with the platform creator.

These games were my childhood. I’m glad to see a remaster for them!

Aladdin on the SNES was one of the fondest memories i have as a kid, im glad they brought back that version.

Picked up my copy yesterday! It was a pleasant surprise to see there is a manual included for the Aladdin SNES game!

Watch them release a third revision that includes Toy Story in two years

Nice! Now all that's left is The Disney Afternoon Collection coming to Switch, it's absurd these classic NES games aren't on the Big N hybrid console.

These were good games back in the day. I have so many good memories of playing all three of them. I am glad that new people will get to experience them. I hope that the Magical Quest games and Mickey Mania get rereleased in the future, too. SNES era Disney games were the best.

Console N is SNES and Console S is Genesis because N means Nintendo and S means Sega

Disney has enough NES-64 titles to fill a "sonic and sega genesis collection" sized gallery. Where's Darkwing Duck? Goof Troop? or even their now acquired franchises, give us X-Men and Simpsons Arcade, or the Super Star Wars series. Charge full price for a titanic gallery of retro games and people will buy it

All I want is Nintendo to do Spotify but for games. $10-15 a month, full access to their entire back catalogue of games from the NES up to the Wii and 3DS, stream instantly (and it actually works) or offline download and play as long as you log in once a month. And yeah I know licensing costs etc but like, if just 1 million subscribe to it, that's $15 million a MONTH they'd be making from their retro games. Instead here we are once again being sold a pack of like six games for almost as much as a new release would be. Nintendo is at competition with themselves when it comes to how they sell their old games to us and its so frustrating lol

Yes, especially when I prefer the SNES version for sticking to the movie’s narrative: meets a beautiful Princess, got locked in jail, went to the cave of wonders, got a magic lamp, enter a mindfuck, wishes to be a prince, win Jasmine’s Heart, Jaffar exiles Aladdin, he returns and defeats the corrupt Vizier.

Would be classy at first attempt. It's basically a re-release of TheLionKing/Aladdin collection with JungleBook added and SNES Al being thrown in the mix. Also, where is the NES version of The Jungle Book?. Like it was the only one out of three (NES verions of these games) worth playing and it's not there.

It looks like there’s the Game Boy versions of Aladdin and Lion King too, and one of the things in the “more games” part of the trailer has odd coloration that’s probably from a Game Boy Color or NES game, but I don’t know for sure as I haven’t played any of these games on either of those systems

@Cureous Quackshot was a good but not amazing Metroidvania. Ducktales was a fantastic standard format platformer. Being a Metroidvania doesn’t inherently make it better when it doesn’t do what it’s trying to do as well as Ducktales achieves what it sets out to do better

Aladdin on the SNES challenged me so much as a kid!! Glad to see it back.

It would be great if they should add Goof Troop, Castle of Illusion, game gear version of Lion King, Mickey Mania and Magical quest since SNES Aladdin made it. And Toy Story and Pinocchio.

Now you can watch every pitfall in HD; the hardest collection of side scrollers is getting a remaster!

i agree with you but not every game can be added because license (the snes aladdin was made by capcom so this is why they didn't add it in the first release) mickey mania is one of the games with this problem because it's a sony game they even publish a ps1 version of this game in europe only (called mickey wild adventure)

@@JohnSkellington they developed by travelers tales that’s true But micky mania/micky wild adventure is published by sony so they own the license for the game, i think this game made by the creator of the twisted metal & god of war series as well

I never got past King Louie. But not being able to save your progress was half of the battle.

I know this especially makes fans of the SNES version of Aladdin happy, myself included.

@@SA-vl9dr Because Nintendo does not own the rights to these games. If that's still confusing, another example is Final Fantasy VI. It was a Super Nintendo game but Square (now Square Enix) owns the rights to it, not Nintendo.

This is the Aladdin I was hoping for when I bought the original release! So disappointed the SNES version wasn’t on the original because that’s what I grew up on and was looking forward to. Not sure I want to buy this again.

If you already own the original Disney Classics Collection you can buy the added content in a DLC pack without having to purchase the entire game over again.

I think the SNES version of Aladdin had been left out originally because it was developed by Capcom, while all the other games in the collection were developed by Virgin. Also you can buy DLC for the original Classics collection to get the new content for only $10.

I played aladdin many many times back in the ols Sega Genesis games era! 90's!

Disney is really giving us everything with this rerelease right nintendo... Man the rewind feature and behind the scenes sure are some amazing additions right nintendo?

I was more familiar with the Virgin Interactive Aladdin game. I didn't know about the Capcom game until much later in my life, since I was a PC gamer growing up.

SNES Aladin is a master piece.

This so awesome, me, my family and my old friends were enjoy playing Aladdin, The Lion King, and Jungle Book with other Disney Classic Games on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo very much in entire lovely 1990's and early 2000's. I really wish turn back time to our beautiful childhood and good old days for not only to enjoy playing Disney Classic Games again but also to enjoy playing SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo's games again❤️❤️❤️🕹🎮❤️❤️❤️
