For anyone new to the franchise, this game is probably the funniest game I’ve ever played. If you like these types of games, you won’t be disappointed with this one

This isn't developed by TellTale, this is a remake by some ex-devs from Telltale who brought the rights to TellTale's Sam and Max videogame IP and then formed SkunkApe games, and are now remaking them, and then are presumably making a fourth title.

Huh... I didn't think I'd see the day where Nintendo themselves would upload a Sam & Max related video onto their KZread channel, but here we are! I'm definitely going to be picking this up when it releases. I don't care all that much for Telltale Games, but I've enjoyed their Sam & Max games; they, Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People and Poker Night At The Inventory are easily the best things they've done if you ask me!

Good to see these guys coming back. I played this back on PS3, and I do recommend it to those who haven't played it yet. The voice actors in this game have great comedic delivery.

Finally!! I have replayed the first remaster about fifteen times and now I have a new one to play over and over again!

This game is so funny. Looking forward to playing on Switch.

Man, I loved Hit The Road so much as a kid (they should remaster that!) but I never played any of the Telltale ones. This actually looks pretty fun, I might get this.

Just a warning to anyone new to this franchise hoping to get their hands on this game; although this trailer doesn't give any spoilers away, this game is a sequel, so you should probably play Save the World first if you haven't already, otherwise the story may not make as much sense

That leaves only The Devil's House left and hopefully a new Season 4 getting the "Crash Bandcioot 4: It's About time" treatment!

It's so nice seeing Sam & Max thriving again. They've been left to rot ever since The Devil's Playhouse as Telltale made their Walking Dead games and then followed that formula with any property they could get their hands on.

Really glad Skunkape games did a great job on the previous sam and max remaster. 60fps, no game crashes at all. *blows kiss to skunkape games* thanks for remastering these games guys. Third season "The Devil's Playhouse" is gonna be wild to revist again.

Agreed. They really cleaned up that game with the Remaster. I played the original on PC and the remaster on Switch, and the updated engine really makes the game play smoother and cleaner than before. The little hitches that slightly hampered the original presentation were gone.

My biggest problem with that one was how touchscreen-centric the controls were. Both mouse and controller honestly felt pretty bad. If it showed up on the Switch I wouldn't have to deal with it since it actually has a touchscreen.

Hopefully The Devil’s Playhouse is also done, loved that game

Honest to god, almost every single line in these games is equal to the best line in any other game ever.

This company only does Sam and Max games. The reformed Telltale company isn't working on a remastered Wolf Among Us, but they are still working on Season 2.

Just what I needed

I’m extremely happy to see Sam and Max get so much attention. I grew up with this game and just have so many good memories with it. This and Bone. I don’t know if anyone remembers that one, but it was legit really good. Sam and Max is still my favorite though.

everyone in the comments saying they've been wanting to get into the series: PLEASE DO IT, IT'S REALLY SOMETHING SPECIAL! THE CHARACTERS, THE MUSIC, THE ART, THE DIALOGUE, IT DESERVES MUCH MORE APPRECIATION THAN THIS POOR SERIES HAS BEEN GIVEN!!! there's literally something for everyone! if you don't like reading tons of dialogue, its completely voiced and the voice actors are really entertaining! if you like character-driven stories with a really infectious chemistry between the cast, this game is perfect for you! this series is wicked funny and lighthearted while also being impossible NOT to fall in love with these characters! the sam and max universe has been way ahead of its time since it was created:) please give them the attention they missed out on! and support skunkape for trying to revive it!

And you really can start with either as Hit the Road is only lightly referenced in Save the World so you won't really be spoiled on any thing from the game, though starting with Hit the Road will give a great taste of what the series is all about.

@@devthegoogleuser6198 I will say: hit the road is a lot harder than save the world, puzzle games in the 90s had puzzles with pretty nonsensical solutions, it's hard to get through it without looking up how to do it at least once, but probably more haha

They kept Girl Stinky’s voice. Cool. I hope Momma Bosco still has the same voice like the original.

I really hope we get a remake of S&M Hit the road some day. This looks so cool!

same, imagine hit the road in this engine, only problem is that you wouldn't get as much freedom to click and mess around with things like the original.

@@Mundwasser They'd have to completely remake the entire game if they went with 3D, with these remasters there were already existing 3D models, they just spiced them up and added better lighting and animation, but they'd pretty much be starting from scratch. If they were to remaster, they'd likely go the route they did with night of the living tentacle, making it vector based 2D

Can't wait for this release. My husband and I enjoyed playing a Sam and Max game years ago. It was so much fun. Can't wait to share this one with him too. 😍

So glad this game is getting back into the mix. Loved these when I was a kid, hours and hours I can remember clicking on everything I possibly could. What’s weird is just a couple years ago I got PlayStation Now just so I could replay them again.

The Brothers Chaps talked about wanting to bring this game to Switch at a panel awhile back and if we’re going chronologically Telltale made SBCG4AP _after_ S&M Season 2 but before 3. I think it’s definitely a possibility if both parties are interested in making it happen!

yea its a point and click adventure game where you figure out what objects go to what parts of the plot, and its really lighthearted and funny with great writing and character dynamics!

This series was so good

So far, the TT releases have been "good" remasters, and given they have been pretty great and representing the engine, I'd expect no less for this one. Glad when they committed to one Sam and Max, they wanted to put the whole TT series on there. I also would definitely go in, if they do the same for Monkey Island, which was a pretty cool way to finish the MI series.

The team doing the Sam and Max Telltale series remasters are a team called Skunkape Games, a group of ex-Telltale employees who got the rights when Telltale liquidated. Rights around stuff like Monkey Island or Strong Bad are a little unknown and messy right now unfortunately, but here’s hoping whoever’s acquired them releases or remasters them eventually!
