Power in a movie or TV show, needs to be convincing. Those who wield it must be those who we believe can and are capable of wielding it, so that we can easily buy into the fact that they are the ones to fear and or respect. When someone says that the force is female, it sounds stupid and never has anyone ever said that the force is male.

2:57 True! Which is why they should’ve taken a sample from the Darth Bane series. Darth Bane was a very muscular, powerful Sith with peak physical strength. His apprentice was a woman, and he taught her that she wasn’t physically strong to fight certain opponents. But where she lacked in strength, she could make up with her mind, will and her cunning. The Acolyte should’ve taken this example.

A trailer puts it's best foot forward. If those are the kinds of visuals that The Acolyte is going to have, then this show is just another less than mediocre streaming TV show done by another unqualified person that symptomatic as to why Star Wars has been a declining franchise for over 10 years. That frontal shot of the Padawan's spinning their wooden sticks looks like a video production done by a team at a senior high school. If you're in production, why do I even have to explain this?

​@PoprageousTV I disagree. And what do you consider qualified? The two directors hired to direct, Solo, the only SW movie to bomb? (Even Ron Howard couldn't save Solo.) Their big claim to fame was, The Lego Movie, and Rian Johnson had never directed a big movie. And even a so-called qualified director like JJ Abrams can write and direct train wreck SW movies. The guys have a crummy track record. 😂

"Leslie headland doesn't have the talent to create her own original tv show." She created two already...this is her third. Check your facts, check yourself. Also Ray Park is 5'9", SIZE MATTERS NOT. His power comes from the Force...just like the characters in the Acolyte...

The Acolyte is a TV show that takes the IP of Star Wars for the premise of a show. She is taking the creative work of others to make the Acolyte, and if you look at IMDB, she created nothing except directed 1 episode here and 1 episode there, a reality show here... @@PoprageousTV I was wrong in stating she created two shows. She created the series Russian Doll, which was amazing. The other is an upcoming show that she is Executive Producing. You're saying she created nothing, which is blatantly false. She's written original plays and movies which she has directed. You may have looked up her IMDB, but did you spend more than 30 seconds on it? She's an accomplished writer, director and producer. I don't blame you for not knowing her full filmography, but your analysis of Star Wars is sad dude. The whole power needing to come from tall strong people who look capable is so so sad. Have you seen Empire Strikes Back? It came out a while ago so you may have missed it.

Star Wars has been ruined something that I loved in my youth.

If Disney wants to destroy an IP that they spent $4 billion buying and are underwater almost $3 billion in that investment, let them continue with their decisions that have cost them dearly.

The only person soiling their undies is you. My opinion is based on the decline of Star Wars going back decades. If you think Star Wars is improving with each show Lucasfilm and Disney lazily put together, then you have your head in the sand and the only "fanboy" here is you. Just watched Tales of the Empire and it was really good… so no it’s not dead. You really sound bitter and jaded.
