I was Baker acted in the state of Florida 9 years ago... After I was release from the psychological facility/Hospital total days about 90 days... I enlisted in the US military... got out after 4 years of Active Duty under honorable discharge... With that being said does being baker act automatically disqualify me from any Federal Agency? Local Police? Correction officer? I'm under the impression that HIPAA protects my medical rights protecting it from the public and government to certain circumstances; however, I'm not 100% sure.. any help will be much appreciated appreciate

No this isn't an automatic disqualifier but it will depend on the department.

Hello Mr.McGaha, Is it safe to say that I passed my polygraph test? I did it recently and there was a department officer in another room that came out and told me I need to get all my transcripts in order as well as get in great running shape for the academy. He then told me I need to stop by the department next week so I can get finger printed. Basically what I’m asking is, do you think I passed and why aren’t departments more transparent about this?

How many chances do you get to take the polygraph. Or did the coaching member reapply each time

Usually its once per department.

After completing an oral interview I was given a score of 85 and "placed on the eligibility list" not sure what that means

This depends on how they hire if its a hiring pool agency then they you are put on a list based on your score and they will contact you after everyone above you is contacted.

I got 78 Place 16th

They don't want too much diversity...I look like Disney Tarzan/Jack Sparrow. They said I'd have to cut my hair. I feel like it's one of my greatest strengths though. Old ladies say I have the most beautiful hair they've seen, and sketchy people are always super cool around me. I have alot of thinking to do about whether it's worth it now. Maybe I should just start an OF about my hair haha.

You can always try a different department. Los Angeles is desperate for officers so they might agree to let you keep the hair 😂

Different departments have different grooming standards, shop around.
