Discrimination against Jews and Christians in Jerusalem (Ascending the Temple Mount)

Jews, Christians and basically any people who are not Muslims are being discriminated against in Jerusalem and yet nobody is talking about it.
Everything I’m going to say in this video is as clear as day but, as so often happens, the big stories are right in front of us but everybody chooses to look the other way.
Today we’re not going to look the other way. Today we’re going to look directly at the sad reality of the Temple Mount.

@@cfp11 It still amazes me just how little of the actual news concerning Israel circulates, today even. Especially today! Before the internet, it was slower getting around, but people use to rely on each other to report on what happens around them ... Yes, Virginia, we actually wrote and received letters; which, kept people informed and safer from propaganda. "Snail mail" you call it today. If someone got a letter from abroad, they shared its contents (at least the newsy parts) with friends and neighbors. It was a valued resource. Now, if you wish to discover current events in Israel; it's imperative to visit a synagogue regularly (if they're an Israel friendly one); otherwise, we must take to the internet and hear it from people in the land, as this website shows us. In any event, one needs trusted sources

I am sorry my friends from what I am seeing in the replies you quite dont understand the setuation, This is not the palestinians not letting people in, it is israeli police, people are not allowed in for many reasons, one big one is this almost 100 years old conflict that is happening if you've ever heard about it, and if you may think it is not related to religion what so ever, oh boy you are wrong, people are discriminated on religious bases. As for "Erasing jewish history and culture" it was somewhat done, yes but in kind of retaliation to the same thing happening in israel, towns renamed after hebrew names from their arabic name, even small villages, and many places. as well as many islamic sites being either unprotected or discriminated against.

I went to Israel in 2013 more or less neutral, and if anything more sympathetic to the Palestinians as the "underdog" while always being quite convinced that Israel has not only a right to exist, but a necessity to do so. After a month there, however, I came away pro-Israeli. Not, let me add, uncritically so - Israel has its problems and faults. But ... things like this confirm me in my change of mind. I knew nothing about these restrictions and, frankly, crimes against the truth and Israel's heritage. Thank you for shining a light where others cover up injustice, intolerance and lies.

@BYJOB arabic and hebrew rose at the same time my friend if you actually think about it modern hebrew is fairly new, being revived using some features in the arabic grammar which you claim is new in the 19th and 20th centuries...... Arabs did not change the names as you claim, jews lived in those land too, they had no problems with them, nor did they try to change them, Israel is also a new fictional name, they named them selves after prophet jacob, yet prophet jacob piece be upon him would fight against them if he saw them, the phoenicians also lived there as well as arabs together with jews for as long as judea's history existed, arabs have lived near the southern dead sea unless you think the sons of Ishmael did not live in palestine at all, and phoenicians also lived near the sea, in fact some names of those cities and towns are canaanite, like gaza, and Akka, names were not changed by arabs as you claim, they were the names arabs came into and adopted, no names were changed as you guys claim. But the names that have existed for more than 14 hundred years are being changed, By who? By the israeli government, why? To adobt a more "hebrew" names, even non-biblical places and villages' names are being changes into hebrew names, so dont claim as if they are but putting history back in it's place. If they are so keen to "preserve history" maybe they can help the christian arab population in nazareth, or the muslim arab population in Akka, but they are not, because all they care about is deleting and removing these identities The name filisteen is not a new name given by the romans or the greek as you claim, the name have existed as long as the canaanite people existed, it is shown in many archaeological sites around the middle east, a simple example is in Medinet Habu in egypt, a finding from 1150 BCE shows the name "Peleset" which are people from canaan Ancient Egypt, Assyria, Persia, Hellenic kingdoms, the romans and the greeks all had the same name, I wonder who is really changing history by denying the existence of the name.......

I always say: the only apartheid I experienced in the whole land of Israel is when entering the Temple Mount. Not only when I tried to enter it on ‘forbidden times’ but also when I was on the Temple Mount on a ‘tourist hour’. The guards are very hostile towards non-Muslims. To us but also to others. There was a (obviously by his clothing) gay man there making selfies and the guards surrounded him and started screaming and yelling at him. To us also they were very agressive. We took off our shoes out of respect for the place. When entering the place they took us apart immediately and shouted and screaming to us we needed to put on our shoes. They took our passports and called other guards. Only after we putted on our shoes we got our passports back. A little later when we were walking to the center of the area I shed a tear because it was an emotional moment for me to be there. One of the guards walked up to me and started shouting.. ‘you’re not a Muslims, you can not cry here. Go cry in a church! And he shouted I need to leave the place NOW.. Never have I experienced anything close to this apartheid anywhere in the countries I’ve been to or in the whole country of Israel.

So many of the Christian holy sites are not even in Jewish Israel. They are in Muslim west bank. Like the place where Jesus was born. And it was the Muslims who looked after those sites over the centuries, because Jesus is important in their religion. There are some Jews who would love to have destroyed those sites

On February 25, 1994, an Israeli-American named Baruch Goldstein entered a room in the Cave of the Patriarchs that was serving as a mosque, wearing an Israeli army uniform. He then opened fire, killing 29 worshippers and wounding more than 125. Is it any wonder that both Muslim and Israeli authorities have restricted the entry of non-Muslims to the Al-Aqsa Mosque?

  • @wendyannh

Yes, I knew about this, and was wondering about it while watching your cat video, because I thought non-Muslims couldn’t even go up by the mosque at all where you were. I don’t remember how I learned of this, but it must have been our local Jewish newspapers. I had no idea we “others” were allowed to enter at all at this point - and certainly not that incredible hassle to get in. It’s outrageous. I also didn’t know about that archaeological blasphemy, or their trying to completely deny that there was ever a Jewish temple there, or that the city itself meant anything at all to us. I have only been to Israel once, unfortunately, back in 1972, long before this particular nonsense started, so we were able to enter right from the main plaza, through the main doors, and stay as long as we wanted. It’s a really magnificent building and space, and I’m glad I had that opportunity, since it’s not likely to ever happen again, at least in my lifetime.

Muhammads "Night Journey" to Al-Aqsa. During muhammads time, there was no Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In fact there was no Mosques in Jerusalem during Muhammads times. And their was no Temple, just a Temple Mount during muhammads times. Al-Aqsa was built in 681 year and finished in 705 year. That's about 59 years after muhammads death. The Dome of the Rock was finished by the son of the caliph, Abdul Malik and Malik died in 705 year. Muhammad supposedly jumped on the back of Al-burak. Al-burak is a hybrid kind of creature that looks human but with the body and shape of a mule or donkey. I repeat there was no Al-Aqsa or dome of the rock during muhammads times. Exactly. In the Western media they only mention Israel when the country has to defend itself. They never mention the constant rockets launched onto Israel from gaza, nor terrorist operations from the "west bank" by ISIS cells that if not supported, they are condoned by the fakestinian authority, hamas, hizbollah, the islamic brotherhood, and all kinds of primitive mohamedans. The BBC, Channel 4, ITV, etc., they are all the same, they always blame Israel, with ridiculous arguments like "disproportionate retaliation". Only after some fakestinian terrorist HQ is bombed down and there are casualties "half of them children", they react. I've been living in the UK for over 8 years now, but I realised of this disgusting bias very early on. I didn't think the BBC, or the British people actually, could be so anti-Israel by default. Our tiny country has to live surrounded by these blood starving sharks, pirañas, but we are always the baddies of the story. Sometimes I think, since they and the world accuse us of "genocide" or "ethnic cleansing", when their population grew 5 fold, why don't we just transfer them to Egypt, Jordan, Syria Lebanon, etc., after all, they came from there after the 1850's when the Ottoman empire (not arabs) sold their lands to the Jews, who made the barren land, covered by swamps and malaria, start to produce again after 1300 years. Then, we close our borders hermetically. After all, we are already accused and condemned of genocide and ethnic cleansing. It's really so frustrating, the irony is that they always say "the Jews control the media".

Thank you! As a Christian American I feel lucky to have visited Israel 3x w my now ex, an secular Jewish Israeli. It was a paradigm shift to learn so much history I was ignorant of and then go on to do my own research. It’s a complicated situation, and will sadly remain so until people accept some simple realities…and it will require govt changes in both I and P, as well as some Arab countries. So I won’t hold my breath. I do remember how crazy Temple Mount was in that we couldn’t gain access and then missed the small window of time to enter. Probably for the best since it ended up being the day bottles were thrown over the wall and the Intifada started. The destruction of the tomb of Joseph brought it home for me. A few years later we were in Haifa, my mom (average clueless American) was w us; for the rest of her life she discussed the Passover meal we were enjoying when someone came in and told us about Netanya. Still makes me cry I’ve tried educating people around me to some of the nuances we don’t see from the outside, but now I’ll just send them to your videos. Hands down the best I’ve seen and you do a good job of explaining without massive bias. Again, thank you!

Do you know why this happened? Because Jews wanted it and made it happen! After Israel captured the site in 1967, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel announced that entering the Temple Mount was forbidden to Jews, in accordance with a halakhic prohibition against temei ha'met (impurity by contacting the dead, cemeteries etc.). The ancient ban on Jews, other than a high priest, entering the zone of the Holy of Holies was confirmed, with the consideration also that, since the exact location of the Second Temple was unknown, any Jew walking through the site would be at grave risk of inadvertently treading on the ground of the Holy of Holies in error.

The first generation of my family to make aliyah arrived from South Africa in 1948. I came to live in Israel in 1973 aged 18 right after the Yom Kippur War and was there until 1977, firstly living in Jerusalem, then on a kibbutz and the last year again in Jerusalem. I really loved the Old City, especially the shuk and the only thing I was advised not to do was wander deep into alleyways off the main area by myself. At no time did I feel threatened. When I was six my parents, myself and two brothers moved to England from South Africa as political asylum seekers where I have mostly lived since. I have visited Israel many times on vacation or for family celebrations and funerals, but have not spent time in Jerusalem for many years so am shocked that all non Muslims are only allowed to enter the Temple Mount from the Western Wall gate. None of what you've explained is ever reported by the msm here or anywhere else that I've been to in the West. Currently they mostly show footage of Israel's so called occupation and domination, quickly forgetting the reason why this war was started in the first place, and no outrage as to why a ten month old baby as well as others are still hostages. I really appreciate your knowledge and your excellent videos which are so important to help educate people, so please keep making them.

Since the recent conflict, I have been educating myself on the history and current events of the Middle East. I had no idea this religious exclusion was happening. This is disgusting. I have so many questions. What is the consequence for passing through the "Muslim" gates and just pretending to be Muslim? Can they discriminate based on your language? What if u tell them u just converted to Islam last week? What if you are an aethist like myself? Buddhist? What about that black cat I saw in the alleyway? Is he Muslim? Can he/she enter? He doesn't speak Arabic. And lastly, who "owns" The Temple Mount? Is it the Palestinians? And, lastly, what if you don't leave when it's time to go? Do they make an announcement? ps- i often don't share your viewpoints, but I always appreciate your content.

Only when Zionist came from Europe and America over 70years ago and are still continuing to come and colonise Palestine they started apartheid state and committing human right violation on humanity! *Israel is a terrorist state, They are running apartheid system* *We want sanctions on Israel for human right violation and war crime, on Palestine people* *The recent attack on Palestine 2022 people praying in Al-Aqsa mosque cannot be ignored* *No more double standard we need equals support as Ukraine for Palestine too...*

The Al-Aqsa and dome of the rock were built about 59 years after Muhammads death. Read Chapter 17 of the Quran book

Thank you Oren. I was there in 1974 and things look alot different on the Temple Mount. It is sad now. Not fair to the Jewish people and Christians. Thank you for explaining everything. Very sad situation there. God bless you and you work and family and God bless Israel. It is such a beautiful country

I was unaware that non-Muslims were not allowed to enter through certain gates, or their worshipping temple. I really enjoy your videos. Different cultures have always interested me. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, I have heard of all these things, the destruction of the Jewish artifacts etc. Your work to highlight the injustices is highly appreciated. God bless you.
