The Backpacking Albania series continues in the little town of Berat! Karen and I stayed at Berat Backpackers. We took a free walking tour, drank far to much wine at Çobo Winery and had the most wonderful dinner at Homemade Food Lili!

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Berat is my favorite city to. Its name is "The City of One-on-One Windows" because the houses are built one on top of another, and many people make a mistake when they say "The City of 1001 Windows". Have a nice trip 🍀🍀🍀🍀🙏🙏🙏🙏

Berat and the whole Albania is in the process of reconstruction. If you come a few years later, you will see a different face of Albania.

Just to correct the guide who said it’s the only inhabited fortress in Albania. That’s not true, Elbasan fortress is inhabited also.

Hi. Is it worth bisiting berst from tirana as a day trip as we are staying in tirana. Is it easy to get the buses to places also

How do you keep your white tops so white while travelling? I want to incorporate more whites in my wardrobe but always worried I'd stain them 😂

Haha white’s are a challenge… I guess they look white from a distance 😜 I do always travel with a little stain remover pen, but a little washing up liquid usually does the trick too!
