Corfu is the perfect European island escape. There are large stretches of uninterrupted coastline with little-used beaches, hiking trails and picture-perfect views to go with.

My dear friend, this is truly an inspiring video to experience. It's absolutely soothing and relaxing to watch and let the experience speak for itself. As someone who travelled a lot and got lost in life, lost all the passion, the drive, the hunger for exploration I finally managed after years getting back out there, getting the feeling of an adventure and what it means to experience again the great feeling hiking, exploring, and travel gives you. I crashed at the Pink Palace for two nights back in 1998 when I was in the Marines (my ship, USS Wasp, was anchored at the N end of the island). It was a blast. We were far enough from the mob of Marines and sailors in Corfu Town that we were an interesting novelty for the backpacking kids, not an annoyance. Everyone was cool and it was super fun! :)

The Pink palace from what I’ve seen, was an epic place to stay prior to covid and during the high season. It’s been on my list forever, sad to see it empty

Ohh my.. bringing back memories for me! I stayed at the Pink Palace many years ago.. Their toga night was pretty lively:)

The village that pink palace is in is an amazing village, I go every year. Further down the beach is stunning with no rocks and the parties at pink palace all depend on what time of season it is. They can be really good but they can also be awful

Saving this for if I go to Greece! I never heard of Corfu! And I for sure have to stay in a pink hostel 🌸💕

I don't know what the car rental situation has been like in Corfu, but we paid SO much for car rental earlier this summer on our holiday as many companies sold off a lot of their cars during COVID, then struggled to buy new ones. So due to supply and demand, rental costs are painful. I have a feeling that it's had a knock on effect on scooter rental too! I'm a little surprised by how much I liked what I saw of Corfu in this and your old town Vlog, I've had a lot of people say not so great things about it, but it looked beautiful and the food seemed like it was to die for! ❤

I was at Pink palace in 2018 and gotta say it was amazing and totally worth it. Theres a small village 5 minutes away with lots of shops and resturands and bars! The sunsets are incredable, and there is even a shipwreck 5 minutes from the hostel aswell! The shuttle from hotel to the ferries are for free:) but if you want to meet alot of people, then in high season is the best choice ofcourse, as it can feel abit empty otherwise:)

Corfu looks beautiful! And yeah I've noticed that there are loads of privately owned apartments available on Booking, sometimes even the same ones that are available on Airbnb but at a different price which is strange. But I like it! I was having a good laugh at the linguine bikini matching everything you ordered when you posted the stories on Instagram haha! 😂

Hi Christianne! Love the episode as usual. If you could, please factor in that some of us watch while working and work on computers with the quietest speakers ever, which are annoying, but we make do, and a lot of the time we cannot hear what you're saying. Other people can always turn their speakers down if it is too loud, but some of us cannot hear on the highest setting. Your channel is certainly not the only one where this happens, so I'm not trying to single you out or anything. I only request because you are one of my favorite travel vloggers. Thank you for sharing your adventures! I also love it when Karen travels with you. You both have so much fun together. :)

I stayed in PP in 1993 - it hasnt changed in 30 years by the looks.

The pink palace has a horrendous reputation- I've stayed there and witnessed things that are horrible and the police and staff are very aware of what goes on! Just a warning to anyone thinking of staying there

LOL, we used to stay there in the 80's and 90's, it was a blast. Clothing optional everything and crazy partying. There was good reason it was mostly pink, very fitting. ;-)

@@cantcatchit I feel a hidden judgement "boys you met on tinder" Also, its not fair to make assumptions like "im sure you were paying close attention" Most ppl i know drink below the limit in western countrys, and theres a thing if u wait 1.5 hours u can drink a other one. Why not just ask how thier day went drinking wise and if they kept it below the limit and just trust thier responce.
