Denis I love that you are prioritizing the grounds of the chateau with a clean up. I knew you and Brett would definitely beautify the surroundings. Based on the beauty of your place in Australia I knew you both would quickly clean the chateau grounds up. It is a lot of work but boy when you are done it’s worth it. I love moss and ivy...just not on the statues. Lovely , they have a new lease of life and will be wonderful for your guests to enjoy in the future 🌺

You all did a LOT of hard work there, it looks really neat and tidy now and those statues are amazing cleaned up, we couldn't picture that when we saw them. I hope you all had a lovely time with your grandparents visiting and it is wonderful to see Filia looking so happy and confident now. Beautiful & valuable lawn statuary! At first I thought the moss belonged there until I saw the carved feathers, then I thought they were carved out of wood until you said stone! Wow! So nice to see your progress. What fun to have your grandparents be able to see and help with your beautiful property. I've see people put moss and ivy on garden statues to make topiaries. However. Yours looked good cleaned off as well as the tidy up around your buildings. It's interesting to see how people prioritize what needs to be done. Good to tackle what everyone sees coming and going to the property. It's not hanging over your head every time you pass by it. 😊

Lovely to see your grandparents and they look like they are enjoying the work at your enchanting chateau. The swans are gorgeous, so beautiful to see you and your grandmother revealing them. You can spray biodegradable Wet and Forget on them and leave for rain and nature to take its course. The apartment is coming along well. Please, please, please Denise, wear a mask when you are sanding. Those dust particles can damage your lungs. You may not notice it now but they can build up in your lungs over time. It’s incredible to see how much you have all achieved in such a short time❤❤❤

Isn’t it lovely that you had beautiful weather in which to work? Those garden sculptures were fun to watch you uncover and the box shrubs and hedges look so much better. You also uncovered the beauty of the floor you were sanding but what I really enjoyed was seeing your family helping as you all worked together. I bet they are thrilled with the chateau you have bought!

Congratulations on buying your Chateau!!! Your grandparents are so Young and they seemed to enjoy the work at your new chateau and garden! Filia is getting along with your beige dog nicely! I saw Filia snatching some of the branches, after you had cut them out of the bushes. I guess she likes playing with branches!💚💜💚

Just love finding things like that when everything is so new yet!! Hedges are looking pretty good with a fresh hair cut!! Lol!! It seems like every day is an adventure!! Fantastic seeing your grandparents helping out, this is wonderful to see, thegardens are truly a wonderland. The stone statues can be also cleaned wild water and a mild detergent, do not use vinegar or lemon nothing acidic. Better by a carton of wire brushes and a good garden blower for leaves. Such a paradise, youll be very happy 😊 outside weeds like at the end vinegar and water 😊

Wonderful to see the "old lady" come alive bit by bit. Hope we will also see the window and door renovations? IF you look at the original plans for the chateau, each room had a purpose and was named. Will be good to bring those practices back. I have a big old house with 30 rooms. I try to use each room every day or every second day, morning room for breakfast, music room to practice piano, biblio tek for my study and reading, room to have some afternoon tea etc. Enjoy every room in your home.

Yes, gardening can be exhausting, but the end results are so worth it. It was so nice of your grandparents to help. You all did a fabulous job.❤

The statues are beautiful- the swans will need mortar in amongst their feathers otherwise they will chip out with rain and frost. Was the frog a fountain? Lay some weed barrier and bark under that big hedge to stop weeds. You can get organic weedkiller for around the buildings. Think mine has geranium in it -it's effective!😊

Every time you remove more waste, it seems like the Chateau grows larger and transforms effortlessly into a magnificent ancient palace!

The battery operated stihl range gardens is brilliant with pruning saw on a long pole .

You are so lucky, my Grandmother passed away a year after I moved to Paris, she never got to visit, I miss her more than anyone every single day since....

I was really glad to see all the ivy gone, but I loved the moss on the statues.

I know but in the end it’s coming back to life and the beautiful artisan work is back and getting the attention to detail. The ivy and all moss making it look magical, but in reality, people will drive onto the property and wonder why. I didn’t want to let it go until I saw the result. 🦢✨

Well done! The grounds look beautiful around the house. Removing all of the bits around the Chateau will help with keeping mold off the stone to avoid any breakdown of the stones. What a stunning Chateau. The surprises in the garden are amazing (the swans, geese, frogs, etc.). I feel you and your husband have a real treasure in your new property (yes, a lot of work and money to be invested) but the results and the rewards will be so much worth it. Your family has a very impressive work ethic!

Place pedestals under your garden statuary to create a moisture barrier & prevent moisture from wicking up from the ground & dwelling in stone & concrete. Then once every other year apply "30 Second Outdoor Cleaner" to everything you want to keep moss, mildew & lichens from growing on. Leave it on .. DON'T rince it off. It's safe for plants. ❤️🙏

It looks like where the frog is sitting there must be a cement foundation and it was filled with water. The buildings are just magnificent!!! Have you given a tour of the outer building yet I don't remember seeing one?? It looks huge! I'm sure your family is so happy to have you so much closer. What a family of treasures all helping. Denise you manage to look so glamorous even sanding the floor. Please wear gloves all the time gardening, nasty things like frelons and other biting nasties. I think after living in Australia you do not have a snake phobia like me😫😫🤣🤣🤣 your home and garden will keep you busy but give you such a sense of achievement and joy. Bon courage 👏👏❤

How beautiful…the rebirth of the swans and all the others…I m I correct was there once a pond where the frog and the heron is….love your progress. Please get masks , gloves , goggles and knee pads….you all need protection. …even the dust on the hedges can affect your eyes( my sons a landscape gardener)
