Oh Wow! The best semi- reveal ever of the chapel ceiling! Your chateau has the best out buildings and treasures.
So glad you will be restoring the chapel. I think you will be blessed for that.
Without a doubt, you have the best left behind treasures of any château I've seen! Hard to believe the outbuildings werd once thriving with people.
The ending of the video as the chapel's vaulted ceiling is revealed makes it exciting going forward into the project! Kudos!!
What a magical place! You are blessed! Incredible to see the Chapel vault!
Amazing find in the Chapel guys, beautiful! Looking forward to seeing that restored 🥰 Thank you guys for wanting to restore it 🙏
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful discovery. Why would such a beautiful ceiling be covered up? I guess people had their reasons but thank goodness they didn’t destroy the original ceiling in the process. The outbuilding is also remarkable. Brett’s daughter must be blown away. xx
What a wonderful discovery! The chapel is waiting for your precious hands to restore it to its original place. What a beautiful blessing you have there!
That chapel roof is gorgeous! So glad they choose to cover it up instead of destroying it.
How exciting
Busy, busy, as usual at your Chateau! Love seeing the outer building, it's seems quite large. Looking forward to seeing the reno and what magic touches you will bring to it. Wow....more treasures found!!! So excited to see tiny glimpses of the original Chapel ceiling! Once brought back to it's original glory, it will be great for weddings at the Chateau!Enjoy Brett's Daughter's visit! Till next time! 😁
I am so impressed that Denise doesn’t get paint all over herself or on her clothes! Charlotte and I will stay in the outbuildings when we come over next year! They look great to me ! 😊😊😊

Your chateau is so beautiful. I am following the restoration of many and this one is perhaps the gem. Lots of work to do but the bones are solid. Its a fairytale castle!
I absolutely loved seeing the ceiling of the chapel! I would want to remove the kitchen ceiling asap. 😊
I love watching these chateau vlogs , I don't know about any other viewer's but I visualize a crooked back stable master with his house maid wife wearing her yellowed from wear bonnet sitting before that fireplace having a dinner and discussing tomorrow's work to be done .
Your chateau is magical. I’m sure you must be chased by film companies to use it. So looking forward to seeing the chapel ceiling. ❤
Wow, how exciting! From what I could see, the chapel ceiling looks awesome. What fantastic luck that it appears intact. What incredible potential in the outbuildings. You have enough room to house several families if that were your desire. I can't wait to discover where those gothic looking decorative architectural elements came from. There looked to be several pieces laying there. Fortunately, the previous occupants decided to simply leave them in storage for future use. What good fortune. OMG! Such an enormous project would be overwhelming. I admire your ambition. If I were younger with the means, I might have made the same decision. The entire Château is magnificent. ❤ from TX!
Oh, that chapel ceiling is just begging to be set free! That will be a very exciting day it is released from the dark. I agree with another comment...you have so many treasures in your chateau. Enjoy this experience as it is one you will talk about for the rest of your lives!
That church ceiling is beautiful!! I can’t wait to see the ceiling down to open up the church ceiling. Absolutely beautiful!! This episode was soooo exciting!! Lots of love from Tennessee USA!!!
Certainly on the entire view of the Château interior and exterior it may seem overwhelming! But having a vision and direction will help guide your work and giving yourselves 5 to 8 years to come to fruition gives inspiration to continue! Your Chateau and Dream shall be magnificently realized🌟
Bonjour Denise and Brett, welcome Brook. I wish I was there exploring with you. There is so much you will discover as time goes by. The chapel, I am so looking forward to you talking down the false ceiling and revealing the original vaults. Thank you for this video. Love from N.Y.
So love that sliver of wallpaper! You are so lucky that in your chateau the previous owners have left the most amount of beautiful belongings than any Chateau I’ve seen before
So excited that the chapel ceiling is still there!!!! Great news!
Great enthusiasm from the builders, Exciting times ahead.
You are going to have an amazing chapel ceiling. Can't wait to see more. Love all the treasures you keep finding. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is so fun and exciting to watch you unveil these treasures. What a chateau!
It must be so much fun to explore all these areas of the chateau and outbuildings and find so many surprises and treasures. It's fun for us to follow along for sure!
I am so glad to hear about the chapel roof. Great news. Regards from Cape Town, South Africa.
What a massive project you two have undertaken. I would be so overwhelmed, but it will be so beautiful, I guess it takes a lot of planning on which projects are next, just to prioritize takes a huge amount of time and energy. Excited to be on this journey with you guys.
love that wooden staircase and the 18th century toilet , please restore it carefully :)
I wouldn’t cover ANY of those ceiling beams . And please tell me you’re not going to paint them. They just need to be sandblasted, lightly sanded & sealed. Ppl pay $1000s for just one reclaimed beams not ruined by paint. Here in America, we have old barns with old growth beams. Ppl have been dismantling these barns then building homes out of them. Those beams were all hand hewn 100s of years ago.

We rented an old bank barn for our horses. Beams were out of beech and oak milled from the farm in the 1870s. In some places the bark was still on the logs! It was an awesome place. Still there a fortune in wood. Hope the current owners don't sell it!

@@donnaschmink1801 we have a lot of bank barns here in PA, we have a large Amish population who still use them. Some really old ones are preserved. One that’s stone & wood was preserved & turned into an event venue. It’s gorgeous.
The Chapel ceiling is still there WOW wow 😍😍🤩 its just amazing so pleased for you as its going to be one of the most exciting finds to uncover over the months 🤩🥰. So many more finds in the outer builds love the old wood burner ..now the getting very hard to find too and all the statues type things i wonder what they were for .🤔Cool video .im going to try and share .
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! The chapel is going to be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was so exciting looking through that hole in the ceiling to see the original ceiling! I loved seeing the huge gorgeous beams holding up the roof, too! Very interesting seeing the old weathervane and I loved all the other stuff left behind. Denise, I really liked that little ornately decorated wee stove. Great episode! ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you, thank you for posting in HDR!
overwhelming how much has to be done and how many treasures to be restored and cherished……huge amount of impressions, ideas and plans…..do not exhaust yourself…this needs time and continuating strong energy from you all to bring this chateau and its outbuildings back to its former glory…..one step at a time…years of hard work and improvements……enjoy the process, live the moment, don’t rush to finish quickly……..
The roofbeams are marvellous.
Cool weather vain for the roof and the stuff covered in plastic. I would love to see all of them.
This outbuilding certainly has a lot of potential as the roof looks perfect. The walls and floors will need a lot of doing but it looks very doable and lots of hand on. Very interesting wallpaper and lots of hidden treasures. Wow......the chapel roof is still there!!! Bravo!! I am so happy for you!!!
A long way to go, but you've been blessed with so many treasures and now that you are settling your sights on the chapel, you will find blessings in restoring one of God's holy homes. 😊😊
The old Chapel ceiling looks amazing. 🥰👍
Beautiful...what a ceiling ...I can't imagine how you are prioritizing the workmen..and the jobs...really romantic chateau
How exciting to find it still intact. ❤❤. Cannot wait to see it as it once was. You two are amazing custodians all ready.
Gotta love the French artisans.
The chapel ceiling is a wonderful find. Can’t wait to to see it in all its glory 😊😊❤❤ Deborah. North Carolina
Not as bad as it looks, knock all plaster off, clear out wood and junk.. treat all the beams, choose which walls to plaster or mortar.. what an awesome space.. apartments? Welcome to France Brooke 😊

Ye Gods! What a mess ! You certainly have your work cut out for you . Good luck !
Did you two know that there are solar tiles for roofs that are called dragon scales, they are very high performance and when you put them on they look like a dragons scaly back...they also work as tiles so you don't need other tiles underneath. So if you have an outbuilding that needs a new roof that is an idea for you to generate some electricity and save money as well as have a roof that just looks like diamond shaped dragones scales in black and not bug clumsy solar panels...Tesla also makes them that look like slate but they don't generate a lot of energy in comparison to the dragon scales ones that are European and don't need to be imported!!!
A room in the outbuildings could be set up with, things found there as a type of museum. Same as things found in the Château attic/servants area.
My goodness you’ve certainly got your work cut out for you. I’d find it to make a choice on where to start. You made amazing progress so far. ❤
❤❤❤ so much to do , this old out building’s really starts the imagination to what it can become and gives a lot of ideas, it’s really going to be interesting to see what you going to do with it all , such a exciting journey you have started . I do not like to say much, but l love to watch your videos and all the images that you capture in them. So much work to do so much to clean and my dreams you have a place where you put every furniture you find in the rest of the buildings all those objects and furniture that will be kept. And then later paint all those beautiful iron chairs, clean wash, etc. A lot to do, but you are doing so well, l am sure will be on time for the Olympics and this is a marathon for sure.
Wow sooo much potential
Glad you will be restoring the chapel, will you be doing weddings in there? The kitchen is coming along, bet you can not wait to cook in there. Loved watching as always😘
Way to go Harry!! iPhone to the rescue! What a beautiful ceiling, why would they cover that?!
That hole looked like the tiles from the entryway.
Da sehe ich noch viel Arbeit auf euch zukommen.
Please save the wood in those barns. Not only beautiful, but expensive and hard to find. You can do the work yourself and save a fortune. Have someone clean the building if you dont want to. Just patch the roof to stop leaks and cover the windows. You then treat and restore the wood, which is easy, just repetitive. 😊 Bitesize pieces for the chateau cos its so big. As it's getting better weather, do the outside now. Concentrate on the inside when the weather is bad! Have you contactedbother chateau owners in the area? Would be well worth doing 😊
Remember: Prioritize a project, finish it. One project at a time. You'll get it done.
