Naah. Venice is Italian Suzhou. Period.
Beautiful city I love it more than Venice. In fact, I do not agreed and dislike the name oriental Venice. China has it identity and cannot compare to the west or the US. It is Chinese dragon cannel with peace and harmony. Venice should name Cannel that copy from China like spaghetti is Chinese noodle that Marco taken to Italy.
The grand canals was built 1400 years ago by the Sui Dynasty.CGTN should remade these video in view of the poor quality.Greta Zhui and Tian Ran are fantastic presentators.

Also remove that Title in the Thumbnail. Suzhou isnt Venice. Suzhou is Suzhou. I love it. The World Knows it is older than Venice. The World Loves it. China must promote its Ancient Town and Cities..We had this water city concepts way before the Europeans did. I cannot believ our Official Media is fucking promoting this with The Venice of The East. Have u no shame? Are we Inferior to the Europeans? Chinese Leaders may have forgotten its own history but the dynasties of The Chinese Civilisation in other parts of the World never forgets it. Here in the North East, I hail from the Glorious Ahom Empire and our origins were Chinese. We mever forget what our Han Brothers contributed to the world. We are proud of them as much as we are proud of our own Shan Ethnicity. We wish to see China develop Greatest Scientific Literature in Human History and The Mind Bending Technologies of the Future. Suzhou was founded earlier than Venice. It's not Venice of the east. Rather, Venice is Suzhou of the west!

Never Ever dare to call Suzhou the Venice of the East. We all know the truth. It is so obvious when China has the longest and the oldest canal in the world and developed the oldest Canal Cities by 2nd or 3rd century or even prior to CE.

Why do official Media calls Suzhou the Venice of The East? Do we have any inferiority Complex? Most Chinese Water Citied are hundred years oldrr than Venice and i guess it is safe to say Venice is the Suzhou of The West.

@@jshrenger hahahah. Venice is infact Suzhou of the West. They copied our idea of Water Cities and dare call our Cities the Venice of East? DafQ is wrong with them or the official media of our CCP? Our Civlisational Roots are long and is still rising....We are gonna soon be a Planetary Civilisation and this time majorty or Scientific Literature must come from China.
