tf2 caps b-hopping speed at like 5% faster than your normal walking, b-hopping is just really easy and very rewarding on the original thief, if you really do it well the game's camera starts tilting to the side

⁠@@ULTRAOutdoorsmaneven without eax, audio is pretty important in thief to hear if there is an npc in the area, witch direction its coming from, and if its getting louder or softer (npc moving towards or away from you). Which you all get from standard duel output audio.

My favourite part was when Jerma said they made a remake 4 years ago and he was talking about the 2014 reboot for Thief for the PS4, a whole console generation ago

I was today years old when i realised that in Dishonored the assassin training a novice in daud's hideout is a reference to this game's tutorial. The dialogue is almost identical.

@@longlivetheking1065 After Trickster gets you it's just constant enemy spam until the end of the game, MGS games always have some action section near the end, splinter cell has some levels where you clearly need shoot around and not sneak. It's just common for stealth games to be unsure of their own gameplay and just put stuff like that lategame.

came out in 98, controls were mostly standardized for first person games by then, but those were mostly fps games like quake 1/2. this inherited a bit of the control jank from system shock, which inherited a lot from ultima underworld.

​@@jillsandwitch67 Yeah, harder difficulties add new map locations and secrets, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not playing these games on max difficulty. Hell, the "no kill" rule also completely changes the game for the better, you feel like a ninja.

Also, does Jerma actually know from a doctor that he has ADHD or is it self diagnosed? Not to say you can't self diagnose ADHD, as it can easily be self diagnosed with some research, but it's just that he seems to focus just fine... Then again, he's not doing a boring job. Playing games and streaming seems kinda a perfect spot to be in if you have ADHD since the tasks can really fit a person with ADHD real well. Now that I think about it, he did play Internet Café Simulator 2 and he just could not stop gambling...
