Mark is one of the best guitar players of all times. And his voice is legendary and truly amazing. I am 63 and i ve been your fan since I was 20. No other band has come even close to what you have produced.

Utterly sublime. And I always love to hear Knopfler's guitar combined with Clark's piano, another fantastic example of that being Telegraph Road.

I don't think there will ever be another guitarist and songwriter "dancing in Mark Knopfler's shoes", no matter how hard they try. And, how come he's always even greater performing live? Thank you Mark and Dire Straits for your hard work and dedication, bringing live music of the highest quality imaginable, to so many of us. 🙏🎶❤ Always, since '78 Carin

Everything is subjective, but for me, this was one of their very very best concerts - they were on fire that night. And yes - Brothers In Arms was just epic!

This is music!!! I hope one day will restore and realise this wonderful concert. Dire Straits forever!!!

So great Dire Straits!!!

My first time hearing it was on a mono radio over Luxembourg Radio - I was so impressed I went out as soon as it arrived in Denmark and bought the album - I still think it is way too short - it could easily have been much longer and still be as good. But now I just have to hear it over and over when ever I come across it. 🤭

no fan should miss it. Please, release it on CD/DVD.. we cant wait until the 40th anniversary ❤

Extraordinary composition and superb performance!!

I saw them in Deeside, UK in 1985 on the same tour. The best performance of anyone I have seen. The lighting was superb. I will never forget it. Mark is still a fantastic guitarist and his solo music now is excellent.

(SORRY FOR MY BROKEN ENGLISH) As a middle school literature teacher (in Italy), I think that this song is something we should teach at school just like teaching the classic, traditional poetry we find in every anthology. Not all songs are poetry, but many songs by Mark Knofpler are: Telegraph Road, Tunnel Of Love, Privateering, Madame Geneva's and many others...Private Investigations is one of that songs/poems you can study on many levels: literary, metaphoric and didactic-moral. And we all can find something we experienced in our life: a loss, a broken love story, a concern, a mistake, loneliness... Not to mention Mark Knopfler's music and guitar: pure magic! 🤩 This is a universal masterwork.
