This hauntingly painful and beautiful live version is from the "TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ______ [mode of DUM SPIRO SPERO]" DVD which came out in 2017.
This is a re-upload. I fixed some lines and added a few more notes. Fingers crossed this version won't get taken down again!
EDIT 03/2020:
I am currently reading Iris Chang's "The Rape of Nanking" (the gruesome massacre that took place in China, acted out by the Japanese military in 1937, which was hushed-up for a long time as though it never happened). I see parallels in many lines of this song, and even in the visuals on the screen behind the band, now... The book is very hard to stomach, but if you're interested in learning more about this dark chapter of history, I highly recommend it.

I nearly started crying. KYO is so good with the lyrics and the way he sings just tugs on the heartstrings. Such a heavy song but, so beautiful... I love everyone in this band so much.
In this video you can see that the guitarist on the left, Kaoru, has his pic taped to his index finger and ist playing without using his thumb. And still playing such a solo. Also, I think that „let’s stop being human“ is one of the most impactful moments of their live shows.
Toshiya is the bass player. His style has evolved and he's refined and made it his own. He adapted slapping more I think around 2006 after touring with Korn and The Deftones. You can def hear the influence Fieldy and Chi Cheng had on him
Yassssss! Finally I see a reaction to a newer version of Diabolos. I've been waiting for this from the moment that you started doing reactions to Dir En Grey. IMO it's one of the best performances that they ever did. I can feel with my entire body and soul the story and I will never stop saying that DeG are one of a kind.
Back in the day kyo even scratched his chest bleeding. This guy is crazy artist.

Not a good song to start on, but def a song to enjoy once you know Diru
I love this version of Diabolos x3 I think he looks more like a wounded soldier but it does have a horror-movie mummy like thing :) I don't know if you have a time limit...but if you want to watch a whole world [and life] unfold in front of you I would love to see macabre 2013 version. That song is an entire journey. I think some of his deepest growls are in the Tsumi to batsu remake which is also their most brutal song in my opinion. Really enjoyed this reaction once again~

This was one of my favourite concerts of theirs, I'm so happy you're reacting to a song from it. Tsumi to batsu from this concert was particularly great.
