With the depth of strategy there is to this game, it would have to be at least 4 hours. No idea what channel would even make that long of a video...

@@DiploStrats Yeah, for diplomacy the longest content I've ever seen was ~5mins and that was about as in-depth as you can get. For diplomacywinks though it would be possible to see at least a 10 hour video detailing just potential opening strats. You'd have to cover material from at least an intro physics course to really even start to understand basic strategy.

Ah yes, a totally fair and honest game with no bias whatsoever. This CaptainMeme fellow sure is a great player, I'm sure he'll go far.

Greetings Sploack, I see you also follow DiplomacyWinks. Personally I find the seriousness and highly competitive nature of this variant really compelling. I understand why it isn't as well known though. Many DiplomacyWinks players have had to seek medical help for the serious mental strain this variant can cause.

Honestly enjoyed this variant and it made for some very interesting commentary. Great video, clearly a lot of effort put into it too!

the etzio block (46:48) is such a phenomenal tone break from managing expectations of the diplomacy winks play and commentary. And theres so many damn layers, you dont know where the units are then theres one unit but that unit is turkey which controls england, and englands in turkey and france is in austria but no one else is putting down units then turkey holds tunis, such chaos (plus he's calling 6020 2020 for seemingly no reason) wait france isnt in AUSTRIA? Also at the end he's just clicking through like the games over, but those orders did go in. theres more going on of course, just one hell of an execution

Edi Birsan? Edi is a highly serious and experienced Diplomacy player, but even he probably doesn't have what it takes to compete in Diplomacy Winks. I understand why you might think that he is on the same level as Katie Grey and Ghug though.

I think there were a couple mistakes there, you really need to be bolder with the moves and not hold quite as often. But it's really easy to say that when backseating - I'd imagine the pressure ingame makes that far more difficult!

Why is EU4 listed as the game? Also I love the dry style of acting as if this game is as serious as Diplomacy....which it is! DiplomacyWinks has the potential to ruin friendships! Also just commenting a bunch as I watch for fun, and also for the alg

Katie Grey seems like they would have no idea what they were doing if asked to play normal diplomacy...they probably wouldn't even know what a Lepanto is

It's pretty simple to calculate! Just take your PFR and FPSR, divide by the FR, and multiply by 10. Then add your TsrBGhP Rating and normalise according to a poisson distribution centered around Tanya's TsrBFhP - then throw that all out and just ask Tanya.
