Actually in Your Love he also sings wrong vowels and when people point it out doesn't mean they don't love him. I think he deserves better teacher. As I commented earlier, why nobody tells him you can't sing 'e love you'. it's i love you. Is it really that hard?

You have to remember that this was a performance done 4 years ago. He was beginning to learn english and this song was performed only by learning the lyrics phonetically. He has studied english (as well as mandarin) since then he's way better now. True, however it would be interesting to hear Dimash reprise the song now and see if it truly was as you suggested; a lack of know how re English then as opposed to now. Given how brilliant Dimash is and how much he cares I, frankly, would be surprised if he hasn't stepped up his command of English game! But as you say, he could sing the phone book and I would pay cash money, coin of any realm on the barrel head for the honor of hearing that riveting, heavenly voice of his. (Does it show I like him?) I can't wait till he returns to America again.

I used to think it was learned phonetically (which is a tough to learn on its own) but if you listen (as I have over and over) you can tell that he was reading and pronouncing literally what he saw…examples like gwess for guess and heartashe for heartache

His name has a hard G like in Egg, not Edge. The Queen Meddly is available on Instagram. This performance is 4 years old, he couldn't speak English then but now in 2021 things are different. His English is great, he doesn't need an interpreter now. He still needs to improve to be fluent but his sung English is good now 💖

Hello from fellow 🇦🇺 Yeah, he had to learn this song phonetically for the competition. Four years ago he barely could speak English since he is from Kazakhstan, he is fluent with Russian and Kazakh only. Nowadays his English has improved a lot (Golden, Across Endless Dimensions, We are One). But even then it doesn’t take away his artistry in this performance. What a great voice with many combination techniques.

Having now the ability to speak the language, I am sure good pronunciation will follow.

You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on KZread with the story of each song. The fact that his vocals give you, me and many others goosebumps says it all!! He touches us deeeeeeeep inside, our bodies don’t lie. Dimash is really special ❤️ by the way, not only his vocals, but he has a beautiful personality too! I am looking forward to your next reaction to Dimash, because when this is your 3th song you react to..... you are way behind!! Please react to Ogni Pietra, it shows again a completely other side of Dimash or Salmaltau at the Tokyo festival (sang in his own studio with two musicians, amazing Kazach song!)

I've been watching Dimash for 3 years now. I can not get over each time I watch his videos, no matter how many times I see the same songs, I am just completely arrested by how intensely beautiful he is physically along with the beauty and power and thrilling tone qualities of his voice. That face, that voice, that spirit, just a truly Divine being from above! I AGREE ABOUT THE NOT PUTTING ONE'S WHOLE SOUL AND BODY INTO MUSIC. I've heard all the greats live Houston, Streisand, Bocelli, Groban, Brightman.....but even Streisand, I've seen her live 3 times....her voice BEFORE Dimash seemed amazing to me.....still nice, but DQ just takes it to another galaxy. And Streisand sings removed to me......like she sings ABOUT the subject matter FROM A DISTANCE....like an OBSERVER reporting.......beautiful, but not soul deep. This was in spring 2017. All Dimash knew how to say then was "Hi, my name is Dimash". He sings in 12 languages. His English is quite good now. He did his first interview without and interpreter with MTV last month. We (his Dears) called it Dinglish. He pronounced Great as GREEEET at his concert in NY...watch "Creator of the Universe" video. I think he did it last year 2020 for a movie....and "Screaming" he did in 2018.

Respected voice teacher WE ALL AGREE dimash is nearly perfect except for his english so any help would be welcomed. Remember he sings in 9 different languages and plays 12 different instruments and HIS BORN WITH PERFECT pitch so obviously he will have a weakness and its clear english is not his strong suit so yep. He has a masters in music and still studying for doctor and age 24 so he is still growing and improving but its glad to know he already mastered the IMPORTANT stuff so diction is something very minor which can be easily learned

Dimash is trained in lyrical singing. His parents are opera singers. He is fantastic.

@***t ***s stay calm. The point the vocal coach was saying is his pronunciation could be better. Dimash is sing in English, so pronunciation is a factor. It's not a big deal, the coach was just giving us his professional opinion. I myself like Dimash accent, it makes him unique in my opinion. Let's just enjoy Dimash for ourselves and let Dimash himself decide if he wants to improve on his pronunciation or not. It's not up to anyone of us but Dimash to make that choice. Stay safe!

Let's keep educating new reactors when there is unflattering comments about his accent. I'm sure with us pointing out facts that you've taken care to explain will help reactors learn more about Dimash. I really don't think this particular reactor vocal coach had any bad intentions with his comments. Thank you for also sharing your story about your own experiences, I'm impressed by how you express yourself and indeed you are a loyal Dimash Dear!

@***t ***s you're a softy at heart and I can see that coming from an Asian background myself, though I've learnt English since 5 yrs old and I am lucky to know 3 languages. I find ppl with more than 2 languages appreciate the enormous effort to learn another language so I can relate to your protection of Dimash. I also understand vocal coaches are trying to give their opinion and even though I disagree with them, I think positively correct them would only encourage them to make more videos of Dimash to spread to around the world. It would sadden me to see vocal coaches stop reaction videos because Dimash Dears are over protective of Dimash. And if the reactions stop, we Dears are worse off if you understand my reasoning to stay calm and embrace the reactors, especially vocal coaches who share their expertise freely. It's been a pleasure responding to you, your open- mindness is commendable! 🤗

Dimash's English is improving as we speak. Three years ago when he sang this song he could barely speak a few words of English. Recently I listened to an interview which he did entirely in English and he amazed me. I would venture to predict that an encore to this song by him would entirely efface your comment on his enunciation.

He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. These are slavish languages. People who speak Slavic languages find English a difficult language to speak. He understands the language much better than he speaks it. This video is about 4 years old. Dimash speaks English better now but he still has a ways to go. His sister speaks and understands it better because she probably learned it in school. 😊

Thanks for your reaction! In my opinion, if you take in consideration Dimash's vocals, versatility, stage presence, artistry - there's no other comparable to him. As per language - he has songs in 12 languages. In this song, back in 2017 he didn't speak English almost at all, and learned the song phonetically. He's been learning English since then and improved a lot.

His English in so much improved now in 2023. I think he is not just an amazing singer, but kind of a genius in this realm of music.

However, it was his first ever song to sing in English back in 2017 and he learned it phonetically as he had a very small English vocabulary at that time. So I give him huge kudos for doing his first one in a very competitive singing competition ❤🤗❤. He truly makes this song epic. Brian May heard his performance and said he felt Freddie would be pleased! 💙💙

Just to advise you, this video was early in Dimash's life when he was first discovered, he spoke almost no English yet did a great job in singing, switch to current time and he can now do interviews with interpreter and his pronunciation has drastically improved. As you said you have to be careful what you say as some Dimash fans will attack you; but I think most of that is because his fans speak so many different languages, as they are from all over the world and get mixed messages about what you are trying to say. You probably did not understand his developing of language skills, I speak several languages myself and I can see his improvement in French, English and Italian, and his Russian and Kazakh are his natural languages, and I hear his Chinese is improving and he is trying to learn Korean. I get attacked sometimes myself as fans hear something different than what I say and miss my meaning or something, I find it best to just go on and not worry about it. But, they should be respectful for I think Dimash would not be fond of such actions.

When Dimas sang this he didn’t speak English. He had to learn this song in 1 week (phonetically), so considering; it was acceptable. But since, he’s learning English, and is somewhat conversational. You can see his improvement in a more recent song: Stranger. I’m sure you can find it on his YT channel. BTW the “g” in his last name is a hard g as in Google. Great reaction. Love that you don’t interrupt his songs to comment, and IF you have to, go back a bit and re-start as transitions matter! Have “liked” all 3 of your Dimash clips. Didn’t care for the constant interruptions in S.O.S, but then you got it, as I knew you would! Being Dimashified changes one :-)))
