OP nayyar and CH Atma came together first time in Pritam Aan Milo song,Sebastian was the arranger for the song.After this song both OP Nayyar and Sebastian and became friends and when shifted to Mumbai,they worked together till end .Sebastian was picked by SJ very late.

Rev Piyush Sharma Sir_ You are great_ God bless you. I became ardent fan of Maestro star O P Nayyar after watching "Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hun ". I wrote my first lettter to him in Jan 1981 on his birthday and it is my good luck that he responded to my maiden letter. Sir _ Will you believe between 1981 and 1992 I wrote 66 letters and just imagine his grace and greatness that he replied me through 27 hand written letters and I have laminated and preserved all these letters. Your Video Post is most convincing and best amongest all I have watched on U_ Tube as far as O P Sir is concerned. I worship him him as God. Doosra O P Nayyar kabhi paida nahin hoga. The best person I ever met in life in this birth on this earth is O P Nayyar. Thanks with regards. Rest in my next comment.

Sorry to say except annu kapoor no body in industry was there specially whose carriers flourished due to o p ji. i wept on that day and went to thane where he was cremated, i touched his feet.my wife said aise ro raha hai jaise baap mar gaya ho.op ji music my life line

Peeyush Bhai thanks for your live on OP Nayaarji My favourite favourite Geeta Duttji I worship her she had mystical voice and and her style of songs uuufffff what a magic. Aashji is my favourite only on old songs but when I play Geetaji’s songs I forget Ashaji. I like Geetaji’s style when she end the song line like....ehhhh eg song ( Neele aasmaanihhh ) so uplifting and all her club songs are fantastic. I grew up listening all her songs my cousins were musicians and had hundreds of her records in Africa. Pity OP Nayaar left her too soon. And also Guruji didn’t supported her. She had suffer a lot. Rev Piyush S. Sir_ God bless youI S C Pruthi Sonepat. Will you believe_Thus wrote Great O P Nayyar to me_My dear S C Pruthiji_I have lacs of fans in this world but no one is like your good self.

It never struck to me before that Nayyar was also influnced by Pankaj Mullick and Anil Biswas. Perhaps that is why he is one of those few non-Bengali composers who used Sanchari in Hindi film songs - example. Lakhon Hein Nigahon Mein. Also his use of Sarangi was unique and stands out as he almost never used that instrument in sad songs. He invariably used Sarangi innovatively in happy and breezy songs.

I have grown enjoying his enchanting and timeless gems. Unka music dilon ko jodta hai. We used to go for morning walk at 5 am for one hour during his ten days stay with me as my father. He instructed Santosh ( My wife) that he takes one cup of tea before going for morning walk another cup after coming back at 6 am. You may believe or not_ he used to gaze in my eyes when I said to him _ Sir " Aap mere jehan mein Khuda ban kar baste hain "_ I saw tears in his eyes many times during his ten days stay with me. Please mark my words _ The best person I ever met in life in this birth on this earth is O P Nayyar. Thanks with regards. S C Pruthi.

1. I think SD Burman, especially in the 50s, were a lot influenced by OP Nayyar. If their albums are analyzed chronologically we might find something interesting. 2. Nobody, absolutely nobody, was better than Rafi in singing in duets. It's because he complemented the co-singer. And on that note, the worst duet singer is probably Asha Bhosle - who rather than complementing tried to compete and thus ruined so many duets. If we compare Rafi--Geeta and Rafi-Asha duets - this becomes more evident. 3. In an interview OP Nayyar said that he copied Naushad a lot. I think it would be great if you could delve into that. Why he said that?
