Tim showed this set of transformers in a previous video. They start as the numbers 1 to 5, and each one transforms into some kind of plane or helicopter or robot.
Tim only demonstrated number 4 transforming, and a number of people asked if they could see all of them being transformed.
So Tim has been practising - some of the transformations are quite complex - and here he is demonstrating all five!

Hi there Grand Illusions team! I wanted to ask Tim if he went to the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1979. I've been reading the memoirs of Erno Rubik recently, and he mentioned that his first attempts to break into the international market with the Rubik's Cube was at that toy fair, but that almost everyone just snubbed his product. Would love to hear if Tim has any memories of potentially being one of the first outside Hungary to show interest in the Cube that would become legendary!

A transformer Rubik cube would be awesome. I'd love for Tim to have one and show us. And plus it'd make sense too if you think about it. I mean, the Transformer show came out in the 80s as did the cube.

Hi I have checked with Tim, and he first went to the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1980, so he would not have met Erno Rubik in 1979. My understanding is that the cube was initially released in Hungary in 1977, as the 'Magic Cube'. A company here in the UK called Pentangle, run by James Dalgety and Ron Cook, was almost certainly the first to stock the Magic Cube outside Hungary. This was in 1978. See www.puzzlemuseum.com/puzzles/collectors/JamesDalgety.html Tim is good friends with James, and they meet up regularly. Tim has a number of versions of the Rubik Cube in his collection, including one of the original Magic Cubes, although he thinks he only acquired this in 1981 or 1982. In 1980, a company in London, UK, called Seven Towns became involved, and launched the now re-named Rubik Cube world-wide. It became rather popular, as I am sure you know! Tim has met Erno Rubik a number of times, and at one meeting Erno Rubik autographed Tim's Magic Cube for him! Erno Rubik has designed other puzzles, although many of them are similar in concept to the Rubik Cube. He told Tim that he thought it was better to specialise in one area of puzzle design, what he called 'spatial toys', rather than try and spread yourself too widely. He thought that was how you excel in life.
My personal hobby is collecting transformers. I enjoy them because they're nice toys, fun to play around and fidget with and I really appreciate the engineering that goes into folding a humanoid robot into a car or truck or some other vehicle. It can be easy to dismiss them but I think there's an undeniable genius to the way some of them are made. It's heartwarming to see Tim playing around with some transformers. (Though speaking as a collector while these digits are nice they are very cheaply made. The plastic sounds like it could break if you just look at it.)

Same! Been collecting Transformers my whole life. Some of the engineering, especially on the collector-targeted ones, is amazing. They’re some the most fun toys I’ve ever had. 😁

You know, throughout this video I kept picturing these transforming digits as Power Ranger/Super Sentai-esque Zords that could combine together into a Megazord and then Tim mentions towards the end that they do indeed combine together. Now I want to see what the actual "Megazord" looks like.
Tim, you bring joy to so many people! Have a great day!

Ahh, this brings back a memory, I had one (literally, 1) that turns into a robot, I loved it dearly! truly a shame my parents gave it away 😞
It was quite fun watching Tim transforming these numbers into their alt-modes...while reading the directions
“Decepticons roll out” - Bumble bee
I just never get tired of watching this man play with toys. I think I would trade both of my grandpas for just half of him.
I just had to search to see what the combined form looked like. The individual aircrafts/robot are definitely more impressive. There are also a number of different transforming digits out there.
Tim there are letter transformers too! In my friend’s mom’s kindergarten class i found the same toys but letters! They’re cute

Hey Hendrik Ball !!!!! Here's the deal, I've been subbed for something like 13 years. You boys are gonna have to get Tim to make that giant robot in your next video. You know that it needs to be done. I'll be anxiously waiting in the meantime.
I was born in the mid 70's, so I'm a true child of the 80's. There was NOTHING cooler than the Transformers to me. Nothing. What kid didn't want a car or plane or cassette player that turns into a weapon laden robot? Truly one of the most ingenious ides ever.
The most satisfying thing I've watched the whole week! Transformers are just so fun and Tim fiddling with them is the cutest thing. 😊😊

Hi the Grand Illusions team, good video as always :) I'm wondering if you would like to do a part 3 where Tim does combine them to the one single robot he is talkning about, would love to see it :) But I do agree, they looks really fiddly.

This man is an INTERNATIONAL Treasure given to us from England.
Here in Mexico City we had a magazine called "Big Bang" and in one of those special editions the magazines had letters and numbers called Numerbots and letterbots (In spanish Numerobots and alfarobots) Basically a version of these kind of figures. Good times. 2008 when i was a kid
These were so cool !
I've wanted to see them since last video!! :D
These all transform so perfectly that when there’re numbers you can’t tell that they would turn into vehicles and when they’re vehicles you can’t tell how they could’ve once been numbers
Just imagine running into this british gentleman and he tells you about his youtube channel and his collection.
Great as always Tim!!! Thanks 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋

I was looking forward to this collection 😁
Are there more of these transforming digits of this specific brand? I heard about sets of transforming numbers with ten digits that additionally had other signs transforming?
hey internet, there is a total of 9 of these robots, i found a newer cheaper plastic robot set for $20 usd but it isnt the same, we all need to find tim a vintage set of these to complete his set!

So, are these a real product we can buy? Or still in the prototype stage?
That pretty cool 😎
He finished all 5 in like 10 minutes O_O
This was great, but if I could send a message to Tim, it would be this: your audience isn't in a hurry. This could have been a 24-minute video and it would have had just as many views. There are some videos where people say, "12 minutes? Ugh! Too long!". That's not the case with this channel.
59 Minutes ago, this vid is awesome!
They are ingenious, thank you for demonstrating Tim Regards
Nice 👍🏻
That little black bit is to assemble them into a bigger robot !
Do the full form please😁
One of these five transforming digits is not like the others...guess the primary designer was out of the office on Day 5.
This man needs to see a 3rd party star scream figure
Doesn't seem like these toys would be too interesting if we kept using Roman numerals.
this is exactly what I wanted to wake up to

Tim you have to show us the mega robot that forms from combining each transformer together! You can’t just tell us it can be done and then not slow it. Please Tim
Who on erath would like to have an aircraft transform into a digit? In the 90s I had a robot that could transform in a plane and a tank and looked more realistic as all of them it was like having 3 toys. Here you have a toy and a...digit

More than meets the pi.
Is it just me or the Condor looks Star Scream inspired while the Phantom is Astro Train /space shuttle, Thunderbolt can easily work as Thunder Craker. The helicopter could pass as Blades (Protectobot member)
The Little pony Is foto male a bigger robot by mixing all together
I don't get the appeal. With a regular transformer you get two toys in one, but this a toy combined with classroom decoration.
