I use Combat Abrasives too. Good products. Made in the USA too.

These belts are awesome . A couple things to watch out for is its easy to muddy up your grind lines if not super careful. Need to be careful using them with the edge up (the traditional way to grind) also because if you rock the edge into the belt the edge could dig in and could snap the belt. I have been using these belts with my edge down now. IM not trying to discourage anybody from using these belts they are amazing and last forever just a couple things to watch. Great video and great looking knife

Nice Reverse Tanto noif!

First time I used one of these, I accidently snagged the tip of my blade in the belt and almost had a horrible day, so be careful using these. Also, spraying WD-40 on these, helps with the finish.

Very educational. About how many knives do you get out of those scotch bright belts?

Just a brief estimate or statement on how much pressure you're applying with these belts and more or less what type of speed are we looking at here?

How do you like them vs trizacts, i have a crap load of trizacts but ive always been wanting to grab the conditioning belts

Would it be better to get a fine polishing belt, or get 10 400grit aluminum oxide belts? Which lasts longer and which has a better finish

What size grinder is that? Great video btw

When using scotchbrite belts do I run them as is or should I apply a compound to it?

I’ve been making knives for two years and never thought to use a conditioning belts. I feel like an idiot now.

Do you need to anneal and harden your knives after you hit them with belts? Thanks for the videos, they make me want to break out my forge again.

James Passarelli I do a rough grind before heat treating and tempering. Then I go in afterwards and clean it up

kaila, must we fnish scotch bright very fine (red scotch) after scotch bright ultra fine (grey scotch) ?
