Banks levy the charge for customers using IMPS transactions. However, certain banks offer IMPS free of cost depending on the type of account held by the customers or using IMPS via Internet banking. GST is levied for the service charge, not for the amount you transfer. For example, If Rs.4 service charge (as per SBI) is charged for Rs.1,00,000, then its GST (18%) is 18% of Rs.4, not 18% of Rs.1,00,000.

RTGS allows a person to transfer money from one account to another within the same bank or in a different bank, provided both banks are RTGS-enabled.

Whatever you transfer is accountable. So, no issues. But, if you deposit more than 10 lakhs as cash at a time, bank officials will ask you the source of fund.

Sunday is also working day for NEFT. In case your account is not credited with the amounts, you can inform your concerned bank and they could take up the issue. If the account number is wrong, the amount is transferred to a person who belongs to that account number. It is important that you always check the IFSC Code before transferring. If there is a problem in the IFSC Code the amount would come unreturned. The other probability why the amount is not credited to the beneficiary would include reasons such as a case where a bank has froze the account for a variety of reasons. In case you have paid the bank they may proceed to also refund the charges. That however, you should check with the bank. In case the amount is not credited and there is a dispute you can always write to the Reserve Bank of India under the banking ombudsman. That can be done online, though there is unlikely to be any complaints of non crediting of NEFT as problems are generally resolved.

IMPS is not like UPI. It doesn't have any number. You have to transfer the amount by Net banking in IMPS.
