the sad thing about the fight is that Warren and Charles are going around ingraining that Usyk is a cheat, that he paid the ref and DDD is the real winner of the fight. They will never apologise as they want to destroy Usyk's reputation. It also damages DDD as he may not reflect on the fight as his coach and promoter are telling him he won. So he may not grow as a fighter and never reach his potential.

Charles is completely out of order to say Usyk is a cheat. Dubois hit him low and was warned before the shot that dropped him. That might have even influenced the ref but that is Dubois's fault for repeatedly hitting him low.

If you watch Boxing it's subjective I mean there's fights where there's 30 shots on the Beltline whole Beltline and nobody gets called a foul so. The low blow just made usyk beat his arse even worse tbh. Dubois landed 18 punches in 4 rounds after the low blow abd got pinged around the ring like a bouncy ball. I 100% think being dirty was in their game plan. When usyk goes down off the low shot and its clearly been ruled as low you can clearly hear don charles telling dubois to do it again. Dubois hit usyk another 3 times low in that round

From the point-of-view that he got caught hard with KO bodyshot and he done a roll to make it look like a groin shot. He hit him in the intestine even if it was low, not balls but Usyk was doing the theatre to give the punch in the balls look

I'm gonna say... I'm thinking that's why Dubois was so confident leading up to the fight... Because his team had a plan... Which involved body shots (as Uysk isn't great with handling them), but a few... Questionable shots in the hope of weakening Uysk and hoping the ref's eye wouldn't be that keen... When the plan didn't work Dubois was like "Nah, can't beat this guy any other way, I quit"

purple glove on the white trunks, part of that glove landed even lower than bottom of the belt and hit bladder, so 100% low blow. besides, if you re-watch that fight you'll see that Dubois was consistently punching below the belt.

100 % on-point analysis on the low blow! Dubois looked dangerous so I can't take that way from him either, but at the end he dropped his apple. But Usyk was class all the way as always. Go Geordie.

The point of impact from Daniel's "body shot" was clearly below the belt. Sure, the thumb and underside of the hand looks like they're on belt-level, but the point of impact came from the lower knuckles of the hand, which were clearly below Usyk's waistband.

Also yes people are overlooking the fact that the punch didn't just impact one spot where it came to a stop, you can see usyks shorts start shifting as Dubois' hook swings up about 2 inches from the spot along the belt people are talking about. Even if the shot landed in what is considered a legal area, it still wouldn't matter because he hit usyks cup in the upswing anyway

4:19 freeze frame by frame if you are on computer( on keyboard) and you really see the punch digging in deep below, it doesnt have to be genitals to hurt you its because that's weak area with weak muscles and intestines and bladder which is why that rule is there in the first place. People need to actually learn boxing rules before commenting, You can't hit below the belly button... it doesn't need to be the balls like some people think. Usyk is wearing his shorts relatively low compared to a guy like fury who wears his shorts/belt line super high so low belt line shots for Usyk are, it doesn’t matter where his shorts are it’s up to him below the belly button and therefore illegal whereas belt line shots against fury would be legal (there are many angles and times during the fight and after where you can see Usyk's belly button peek out of the top of his shorts...) Whether it hits his balls or not is ultimately irrelevant. It's a low blow. This is also why during the fight anytime the belt was hit he'd point to the ref because this was made clear by the ref before the fight that belt shots would be low blows based on how low his shorts are..

Most refs say nowhere on the belt and below. Frank Warren clutching at straws. His boy got out boxed.

This is one of those things that fans call out but shows their lack of knowledge of basic rules more than enhanced knowledge they think they have, same thing happens in football where "that's not a penalty" "that's definitely a handball" "definite red card" "thats not offside" etc etc then you go look at the rules and it ends up being the right call 9/10 times with people just not knowing what the rule is.

Thanks for passing that on but, I don’t watch soap opera’s that involve so called “fighting men…” who in reality cherry pick and duck the greatest legacy in sport over and over while sitting on one belt…to prevent real fighters achieving their hard earned goals. Tyson Fury is the biggest disgrace this country has ever produced.

Spot on geordie boy, clear low blow and then totally outclassed. Only observation I’d make between Dubois & AJ’s efforts is that Usyk clearly rated Joshua because he was happy to outbox him on the back foot but was confident enough to engage with Dubois. Check Usyk’s face after both fights…. also although clearly outboxed, Joshua didn’t quit……

I was convinced it was a legitimate punch but after watching again and a boxer explaining what happens with a low blow it does look like a low blow. You can see why people think both ways though. Either way ddd is not world champion material. He would only keep it till the next fight he had

It was undeniably low. The only people who are protesting are those who either don’t know what constitutes a low blow in boxing, or are salty the Brit didn’t win. DDD was outclassed from start to finish. The low blow was the only damaging punch he really landed.

This just proves how many people know fuck all about boxing. The ref told them both the rules, the rules are set in stone, he ruled it a low blow, he was fine with body shots after this supposed legal shot and replays show it in fact hit him below the belly button on the belt... Wind your necks in. Its done now, I see nothing wrong with the decision.

Agree with EVERY single point you made mate concerning Usyk being brilliant and the low blow, on Dubois having learned a lot from this fight and will make him a better fighter (champion one day too) and on Tyson Fury's followers who still believe his BS (smart people). The Dubois team did seem to employ dirty tactics and did say they would do whatever it takes to win. If nothing else it added a bit of excitement and drama to an otherwise very one sided exhibition of precision, speed and intellect leading to DDD taking a knee as usual and then quitting in the next round from a solid jab.

It's a low blow, people need to know more anatomy, understand the rules better and be prepared to view all angles. Froch's breakdown was much better.

Fury is Warren’s cash cow. Dubois is his pawn to try and damage Usyk to a point when Fury feels he can beat Usyk. Up until then Fury will duck him. Warren knows Usyk will fight anyone, had mandatories waiting so will only sign up to fight his golden boy Fury when Usyk has either taken punishment against others or has lost his skills due to ageing

Really well said Geordie! Great analysis and conclusion. I really enjoyed the video and agreed with most of the things you said,

First, was that single blow the only opportunity Dubois had to defeat Usyk? It's disappointing to see such a limited performance. A true champion, like Usyk, seizes numerous opportunities. Even if it was a low blow, it seemed like a stroke of luck because that's all he managed! Second, did Usyk cheat? Did he bribe the referee? If not, it's hard to believe that Usyk, or any fighter for that matter, would challenge the referee's decision in that critical moment! And third, if the referee deemed that blow as legal, who's to say Usyk couldn't have recovered and fought back with the surge of adrenaline caused by the blow? That type of hit stings but doesn't necessarily knock you out!

It’s not just the balls that can be hurt though. Getting hit on the bladder or pelvis can make your legs give out too.

It’s funny cause now Filip Hrgovic is Usyks mandatory for the IBF and I don’t mind that next just more heavyweight experience to prepare him for Fury and build his resume if he wins that beats fury he can retire one of the greatest heavyweights of all time even though I would love to see wilder vs Usyk definition of Puncher Vs Boxer

For me it’s a low blow, and yes, you can argue that another ref might have deemed it legal and started counting. However, if that had happened I’m sure Usyk would have gotten up (it all ifs and buts). What we do know is Triple Knee was out classed, lost every round and ultimately quit when he knew he had no chance of winning. The right man won, and the fact Don Charles and Brick Top are calling Usyk a cheat is ridiculous.

To be fair, the ex pro’s who aren’t sucking up to Fish Eyes n Fury have been pretty much in keeping with TG.

The fact that Usyk's team pulled his trunks down after the fight to highlight his belly button when it was clearly covered during the fight tells you they saw this controversy coming lol. The shot was borderline but in my 40+ years of watching boxing I don't remember seeing a belt line shot ever being called a low blow. But whatever, the right man won. Dubois probably shouldn't have been in the ring with Usyk in the first place.

In the replay if you look very closely frame by frame, you can see Usyk's shorts shift while Dubois punch is still about 2 inches from the spot along /under the beltline where the punch stopped. The punch at least grazed the cup, if not actually catching the corner one the way. The punch came from a very low angle and hit a lot more on the upswing than just a picture of the final end point would suggest.

What a great fight that would be, same with Joshua but, unfortunately Fury has taken up soap opera whilst being allowed to sit on the WBC belt preventing the real fighters from progressing.

Can anyone explain why Usyk is said to be vulnerable to body shots? He's never been down in a professional fight and yet somehow he's vulnerable? Makes about as much sense as what comes out of Frank Warren's mouth.

I think this whole controversy has opened up that question. Turns out the only one who seems to know the actual rules…in any language…is Usyk. Even the waistband of his shorts comply with boxing regulations…! “Bart Simpson’s” they’re the ones that Fury pulls right up to his saggy tits, are apparently illegal. Seems that by stirring up this argument and calling Usyk a cheat, Warren & Smack Em In The Mouth Charles have opened up a foot of Fury’s previously unseen legitimate body…!

I think it was because usyk was knocked down by a body shot in the olympics by beterbiev

I know it is crazy. Their hasn't even been any signs of Usyk being weak to the body in his professional career and he has taken some body shots too.... Yes Bertebiev supposedly put him down but he was 19 years old it is ridiculous.

I think it's a 50 50 and up to the refs discretion and in the moment he saw it a low blow. But regardless usyk looked good and wore dubois down and make dubois take the easy way out

The ref didn't see a low blow. If he did, he would have deducted a point

We all know if it was Usyk landing the belt line shot on Dubois with the same devastating effect the referee would have started counting. Puts boxing in a bad light again.

Good analysis, no bang-on analysis! Oh I got to the end and was in stitches…very funny stuff…. Especially about Fury…. I really hope that Fury doesn't get to take this man's legacy away…without even fighting him, which is his aim...bloody bitter little coward supported by Warren whose aim is to throw all of his stable at Usyk in the hope they soften him up enough for Fury the coward to fight him or one of them beats him and warren can have a in house unification fight.

It was a low blow but no real controversy since Usyk forced Dubois to quit later on.

Thanks for this valid review of the situation and besides that the "greedy belly" situation. AJ and Usyk fought twice, Fury has never fought either AJ or Usyk. I think we know who the common denominator is - greedy belly

I have watched this fight multiple times now and have looked at all cam angles and it was a low blow, usyk did take advantage of the full time which anyone would, DDD was making loads of low blows all night, the biggest talking point should be should DDD really be fighting in 12 rounds as he cant last past 9

I remember when Amir Khan stopped Zab Judah with a similar shot on the belt line and it wasn't given as a low blow.

Getting punched in the bladder will feel like getting punched in the balls.

This is the same behavior as after Wilder's first loss. Making excuses for your loss. Except Dubois fans had something slightly more believable to latch on to.

Low blow or not is the referee to decide. Usyk is not a cheater he is a warrior that finishes Dubois clean.

people keep going on about the picture after the fight where usyks belt was below his belly button but they were above it when dubois landed the shot. low blow my arse.

if it was body shot the reaction would be delayed but he went to the ground immediately in pain, if you were in the ring and sparred you would get it

Most fights I've seen, when a guy gets hit low, they tend to try and walk It off, given time to recover also. Usyk was clearly winded, by an obvious legal punch. As for Dubois, he hasn't got the"dog" In him, to reach the top.

@@vicki1638 Matter of opinion, I've followed and been active In boxing for 50+ years, been hit low, seen others hit low also. If In pain, you hop around the ring, to shake It off, If winded you sink to the canvas, and try and catch your breath. Like I say It's a matter of opinion. Borderline punches are not Illegal.

@@vicki1638 In all these years I've never heard the "belly button" mentioned In situations like this. It's always been above or below the belt, this seems like some sort of nitpicking, and getting over complicated. I see It as a punch on the waistband, perfectly legal. Like I said, we all have different opinions, and could argue the point forever.
