Quantum, please do the Q8fn vs G4 video to really drive the point home! Your q8fn vs s95d video was awesome! It's really interesting to see some of these old king of kings panels go up against today's best. I bet you if you put the G4 side-by-side with the Q8fn, the Q8fn takes it- Please do it man.

I think it's the MLA tech. The way most youtubers talked about the S95D, I had completely rejected it as an option early on and started to look solely at the G4, QN900D, A95L, Bravia 9 with a chance to go with the S90D amd wait for a flagship next year. Then after a bunch of side by sides, it became apparent to me that those reviews had to be about commissions only as the S95D simply blew the competition for gaming. With the S90D being in the ballpark, those third gen panels had a night and day difference in how games were represented. The matte screen proved to be a non-issue in the dark and it handled reflections so much better than glossy when I had the lights on. I just felt as if these reviewers were doing everything in their power to angle every nook and cranny to justify their biases toward the G4, Bravia 9 and whatever wasn't Samsung. It's been a WILD year so far.

I think Quantum did amazing stuff with his settings for the s95D. At Best Buy the s95D looked horrible out of the box. So to me I wrote it off.

I just went today to the Samsung store, and the S95D matte finish is fantastic it's not like the frame matte finish it's way better don't juge by KZread videos go see yourself. Even with all the lights in the store, it wasn't that bad next to the S90D. The colours look day and night difference between my LG CX and the S90,95d.

The more I look at your comparison videos with the C1 the more I regret purchasing the G4 😔 Do you think you’ll be able to work your magic and calibrate the G4 to at least come close to the C1? Or have we just made the biggest mistake of our lives and wasted all that hard earned money for trash?

He actually made a video where he calibrated the G4 to nearly match the Samsung S95D's colors. The tradeoff was that you lose the G4's brightness, but it was an improvement overall. Why not try his G4 settings out and see how it looks?

As an owner I can attest that the C1 is a beast for gaming for sure but I did not expect this. That’s pretty crazy! I really don’t know how these companies can continue to charge so much money when they know they’re giving out an inferior product! Gaming is important to a lot of people!

Quantum tv is clearly bashing LG for a personal beef he has with them. I’ve seen many people say they regret their g4 purchase because of this guys Samsungs cheerleading and bashing the g4. This video he did saying a c1 is better than a g4 for gaming is beyond laughable. Unless I missing something, he calibrated the console hdr while looking at the c1 as you can’t independently calibrate the split signal. The g4 is absolutely stunning in gaming and the image he showed does not tell the truth about the g4 performance. It appears there is a motive for his behavior. . The g4 does not have detail like a first year LCD 720p screen, I can promise that. Dude is just out here trying to push an agenda and is well known for being a poor reviewer in the greater community. Don’t fall for it.

Whoop! Don't let the haters get you down, my man. Keep up the good work. One small thing: Next time you could put a small "C1" and "G4" above the corresponding picture (i got lost a few times).

I think the microlens layer LG is putting over OLED to increase brightness from 2023 is actually causing some light deformation and thus G4 is losing fine details. In this case C3 should the same issue.

You are not taking into account that the c1 might be crushing shadow detail. LG has improved this over the years, it started with the c2. At 3:48 you can defenitely see it. The light emmited from the fire scatters across the room and it also illuminates the walls around it. In the c1 theres so much crushed blacks that you cant see the orange light on the wall in the left.

I am sorry but the G4 looks really bad compared to the C1. The image is like 720p compared to a tack sharp 4K on the C1 if you select 2160p, at 1440p it looks like almost a 4k vs 480p difference. The C1 simply looks amazing in all categories, more color, more contrast, more defined picture, better clarify, more 3D. I knew it would be like this. If the C1 won in terms of sharpness against the G3, then it would still win against the G4. Thank you for these in depth comparisons that tell a whole different story. One question: how about a C4 against the C1 comparison somewhere in the future?

If u gonna see 4k content only and play video games then both of them are close But outside of 4k and video game G4 it’s much better much much Over all the G4 due the image processing And motion handling and upscaling But the price is the issue

I have had both. S95D for gaming is leagues better once you calibrate it for BT2020. however, the anti reflection on G4 is way way better.
