    My parents didn't use physical punishment on my sister and I (they didn't believe in it), but one look from either our mom or dad would have been enough to shut us up for the next month. I see the way some kids talk to their parents nowadays, whether little kids or grown-ass adults like that doofus, and it boggles my mind.

    Movies always have 1/2 hours of ads, trailers, cell phone courtesy instructions anyway, so no huge deal. And in our small town you select your seats to boot.

    Furthermore: when you plan to go see a film, you make sure you without any rush, you have time to find a car place, to buy your ticket, to let your child pickup the snacks he wants. So, 10 minutes late is not a big deal.

    My mom never wants money from my brother and I... When we give her gifts, she wants to pay back. We fight firmly to make her keep her money, but we know that she'll soon or later give her free money... the gift's price and more. Both of us are financially good, but she still wants to give us money. Once, my brother threatened her to give her money back, so she threatened him to disown him. I love my mom and her damn logic. x)

    Damn, I thought I was giving my mom a second chance after years of lies, abuse, and a number of other traumatic incidents, when all that time I could have held a grudge against her for being 10 minutes late for a movie?! What a saint this man must be! 🙄

    Actually JJ is viewing this from her own outlook, but, there is a under current of problems between mother and son which should not be ignored in this case … nobody asked to be born to the mother that they have … this mother may have been a bad mother when she was younger creating resentment from her son over the years …

    It doesn’t matter if it’s 3 minutes late.. you have to respect boundaries. If they say it’s 1, it’s 1.. sad. I hate when people have excuses.. I tell my sister this all the time.

    JJs lecture about his mom cleaning him up when he was sick as a child and giving HIM multiple chances had me in tears. We love our children so much and I cant imagine my son treating me the way he treats his mother.
