My parents didn't use physical punishment on my sister and I (they didn't believe in it), but one look from either our mom or dad would have been enough to shut us up for the next month. I see the way some kids talk to their parents nowadays, whether little kids or grown-ass adults like that doofus, and it boggles my mind.

i dont think they’re being unreasonable. if someone says to have their child back at a certain time, the child needs to brought back at said time. it doesn’t matter what they need to be back home for, it’s not anyones business. ‘title to my child, does not mean entitled to my child’

I can understand him not wanting his kid around a certain relative and being mad at his mom for not respecting that decision but he lost me at being mad at his mom because she 10 minutes late.

Movies always have 1/2 hours of ads, trailers, cell phone courtesy instructions anyway, so no huge deal. And in our small town you select your seats to boot.

Furthermore: when you plan to go see a film, you make sure you without any rush, you have time to find a car place, to buy your ticket, to let your child pickup the snacks he wants. So, 10 minutes late is not a big deal.

Calling my mom now to tell her that I love her. I do all the time but this struck a nerve. I could never imagine treating my mom this way. Why set a time that puts you in a crunch?

I remember after my divorce my grown children subsidized my income for a whole year until I could get back on my feet and they did it with pure joy because I was their mother. And I praise God for them!

My mom never wants money from my brother and I... When we give her gifts, she wants to pay back. We fight firmly to make her keep her money, but we know that she'll soon or later give her free money... the gift's price and more. Both of us are financially good, but she still wants to give us money. Once, my brother threatened her to give her money back, so she threatened him to disown him. I love my mom and her damn logic. x)
