@@shrutefarms4741 how do you figure that? You can have a lot of debt that IS dischargeable and it can drag you down once they start garnishing your wages and savings. Some people get into trouble. Don’t ever say it couldn’t happen to you. All you need is to have a serious medical situation pop up that requires surgeries or long term care. Then you could go bankrupt just with medical bills. At least the US has a way to get out from under crushing debt. In Europe they don’t have our system so they are burdened forever by it.

Filing for bankruptcy is the whyte collar version of the deadbeat dad that gets a child support order and immediately quits his job.
