I found the joke funny but was bemused at the idea that some people hadn't heard of a small double bed. I had one in a shared house where I had the box room. It's smaller than a regular double bed, but larger than a single. 🤷🏻‍♀️

United Kingdom: where a conversation about a (we can assume scantily-clad) eighteen-years-old girl hidden in a bed is mostly centred around the type of duvet she was hiding under.

Calembreloque I would have thought about the mattress type, if it was memory foam, the duvet thickness wouldn't be important, however, with a spring mattress, you would be screwed no matter what.

lady monochromicorn Welcome to England everybody. We spend our days over analysing whether someone could hide under a duvet. But really, I've got a spring mattress and I've hidden myself and other people under my duvet. Whether it was under the same circumstances as in the clip is another story.

They often try to do a thing on this show where they're start to say the wrong answer to trick people. But when they draw it out like that you can tell that it's just a bluff.

I think today (22/06), at least that's what it says on wikipedia. Though it's weird that they left the answer in, usually when the bbc put up snippets they cut just before we get to know whether it's true or a lie.

+Singa I've done this too, but I hid someone under the duvet. It was non-sexual though, it was at a weekend-group, a (long time) friend that had snook into my bedroom to play on the Nintendo. We sat under the covers together, he explained how to catch a Pokémon (he had Harry Potter, Mario and Pokémon) and then we heard the supervisor knock on the door. I pushed him under the duvet, he rolled himself up like an armadillo and I threw the covers on and pretended that his back sticking out, was my knees. The supervisor almost bought it, but then when he anounched he was going and the 'knees' made a happy noise and so he knew that the friend was there. Only thing really sad about this, is that from that moment on, we were no longer allowed to hang out, because they'd "caught us in bed" and were "worried." (We were 11.) We were allowed to hang out for a maximum of an hour, with supervision. Considering we'd been best friends for a while that was really awful. But the story is kindof fun and before this happened, he'd come over each night to play Nintendo, so that was fun. I should really stop using this commentsection as a diary though...

@@yourmum69_420 Haha, my sister noticed I keep commenting everywhere and now she reads the commentsection as well. She found a comment recently when I was in a fight with someone and confronted me about it when I visited their house, saying; 'Why would you start a fight with someone like that, look how petty you were, look!' It didn't make me stop sharing things, but it díd make me think about the content I share (a bit) more, haha.
