David Mitchell's Codes to Live By | Would I Lie to You? Compilation | Would I Lie To You?

Ойын-сауық

David Mitchell leads by example and outlines some of the many ways he likes to live his life... But, of course, not all of these are true...
0:00 - "My weekday breakfast regime is always as follows - Monday, cornflakes, Tuesday, cornflakes, Wednesday, cornflakes, Thursday, cornflakes, and on Friday, jazzy cornflakes."
2:20 - "I like pens. And I like to know where my pens are. For this reason, I have a three-point pen policy."
6:03 - " One of the codes I live my life by is that my appearance should be in no way noteworthy. But then again, not so unnoteworthy as to be, in itself, noteworthy."
9:08 - "Victoria doesn't know this, but on those very rare occasions that she does something that annoys me, I get my own back by sneaking upstairs and moving her bookmarks."
Would I Lie to You? is the hit BBC panel show where two teams of celebrity guests try to figure out whether their opponent's ridiculously far-fetched statements about themselves are true or, in fact, a lie.
Featuring inimitable host Rob Brydon with lightning-quick team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack.

My favorite part of these is that for the true ones, David isn't even really trying to play the game anymore. He's so eager to share his worldview through these codes, and is deadly serious and earnest in his passionate explanation of the cards' content.

I also enjoy it, even if it is a bit painful in places. You can tell Lee thought the percentage chance it was a lie is about the same percentage David thought the Wok cookbook was a lie, and he thought it would make for great drama. You can also kind of see David realizing the comedy gold about to unfold and grudgingly decides it’s worth it. I do often wonder what went on behind the scenes after that particular episode was filmed.

In a healthy marriage you shouldn’t ruin what the other person enjoys just because you have a petty grievance with them. Getting all confused with reading a book because your bookmarks were messed with doesn’t warrant divorce or abuse, I 100% grant that, but it’s just an inconsiderate thing of a partner to do instead of maybe discussing their reason for being irritated with them. If a partner would do that IMO it’s a sign of emotional immaturity and no willingness for conflict resolution.

reads between 7-8 books at a time..ofcourse that has to be a lie...i would become completly uninterested if i juggled books like that. I usually read a book from cover to cover in a day or two..there is no way i' starting a new until i finished the first.

there's no way any book reader would do such a thing to another book reader. let alone to someone you love.

I'm pretty sure they only have one button to press. Before the show, they have to discuss with the production team if it's true or not, and the background staff prepare the true/false icons to appear. I mean, they also have microphones to the production staff to talk with them, I'm pretty sure Lee has shown a bit where he used it to change the result, but it was obvious when he used it and everything. This case David didn't do anything.

@@bryannaing6316 fun fact: the button doesn't actually do anything, a producer behind the scenes activate the true/false thing.
