I don't think it was to be honest. I think it was a small spillover laugh from David's previous line, followed by an abrupt stop because a) Greg was signalling he wanted to give his guess about whether it was true or not, and b) feedback that no one else was laughing.

i would bet on greg, it matches his actions. when the camera cuts to Davids team the NO has just been exclaimed and you see greg holding out his hands in a mix of surprise and disbelief as he is turning away from the others.

Consulting my dream dictionary, the potato represents his feeling of being lazy (ie 'couch potato') and the pitchfork represents a need for self-sufficiency. ie he feels he needs to do his own work and not just leave it to others.

@@andrewroberts8139 Maybe it's a cultural thing. I have certainly known some e.g. Bengali or Pakistani people who describe themselves as brown and prefer it to people trying to guess what part of the world their ancestry comes from, or lump them in with e.g. Indian people or some other group.
