    great review I have already made my own cinewhoop from a frame bought from BG a few years ago and found it to be annoyingly noisy so to hear yours is brings me comfort that its normal , not done much flying lately but I do have a new 7" qwad I need to get used to I get 22 minutes hover out of 4s self made 18650 batteries, I prefer to fly in winter as there is less interference on analogue, yet to commit to HD. great video, thanks.

    Congratulations on the review! It helped me a lot .. I am currently flying a GepRc Cineking 4k and I am very happy with it, but I would take something like this because I already have a Gopro 7 Black and sometimes I really lack image stabilization .. And this one is a bit bigger though and I think it is a good choice for sometimes ACRO movements and mostly cinematic flying. The only thing that worries me is the noise it makes, I hope it's not too loud.. Greetings and all the best! 🍀✌️🙋‍♂️🍻

    Exactly what I was looking for, great video, earned my sub! I'm an FPV noobie and just ordered this 6S cinewhoop. Just to be clear tho, I need to buy a receiver like an FrSky XR in order to make this fly? Sorry for the really stupid question but fpv can really feel overwhelming when you first start. I just learned basic flying with my micro Tinyhawk 2 but that's totally setup out of the box.

    Great video! I recently got mine and after some light beta flight tweaks it seems pretty solid.. until I put a GoPro on it. Now my throttle seems very underpowered. Is there an easy solution to solving this? Is it likely a PID related issue?

    Fundamentally you've reduced the power/trust to weight ratio. You've added another 120grams or so and the quad won't be as punchy as it was. You'll need to increase the PD Balance on your BF tune (both P and D increase but keep the same ratio or use the sliders) to get similar flight performance (not power) but keep a careful eye on motor temps. Alternatively use a GoPro Lite that's only 27 grams and the Taycan will fly just the same. kzread.info/dash/bejne/emiZxbOTkriwf7g.html Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for the review. My taycan came short of three screws for one of the motor... I replaced the 90 deg USB adapter for an iflight one (3$ or so) so that the connection could be made from the top. I have replaced the camera for a caddx ratel and changed the vtx for a rush tank (800mW) I am looking to replace the foxeer lollipop (by Foxeer stubby or TBS triumph?). I have fixed a crossfire nano. It works fine. I have got the 6s version but haven’t tried it out yet on a 4 s battery. I was a bit disappointed by the flight times (under 5 minutes without pushing it with a 1300 6S, and a GoPro 7) but it flies great for a cinewhoop... I am investing into 6s batteries as my 2 y old 4s need replacing anyway... Does this perform well with Turtle mode? Thanks for the review.

  • @WhirlyBloke

    @WhirlyBloke

    3 жыл бұрын

    When you first connect a multimeter in continuity setting, you will get an instantaneous reading of low resistance and then it'll disappear. I'm talking a few mS here. If you've got the buzzer on the meter, it'll just chirp. This is just any capacitors across the power supply circuit on the quad charging/discharging and is nothing to worry about. If you hold the meter probes on the battery connector for a a second or two and the buzzer is quiet and the resistance is is infinite or open circuit (OC) for all good. Thanks for watching.

    I just received my Diatone Taycan, but the topplate is freaking glued to the stand-offs. What a mess. Also, there are like four different screwsizes coming out of the stand-offs, with 2 of them mounted from bottom up. Since it's glued, now I can't take the topplate off without breaking the quad. What a weird way of putting a quad together man.

    Beginner here. Great video, I have some questions. I am wanting to get a solid fpv set up to carry my hero 7 for some short clips. I also want to fly for fun without the camera sometimes for more acro centered longer flight times. I have decided on the iflight if8 fpv controller with the iflight goggles. The controller comes with an R81 frsky reciever. Now, for the cinewhoop. Should I get the taycan 25 or the normal taycan 4s? The taycan 25 seems a bit more beginner friendly and should carry a full gopro hero 7 for around 3-4 minutes with a 4s 1300 mah battery. I think I will need to buy an xt30 to xt60 adapter though. The normal taycan 4s is a bit more expensive but looks a bit sturdier and more stable/powerful than the 2.5 inch. Does the taycan 25 with the iflight controller and goggles seem like a good set up for a gopro hero 7 and 4s 1300 mah battery? Also, will I need to solder the R81 frsky reciever to either of these drones? Thanks for the guidance as I am still a learning beginner. You seem smart!

  • @WhirlyBloke

    @WhirlyBloke

    Quite difficult to answer all this with so many options, but the regular Taycan is very good and it's been around for a while with any issues documented. Maybe look for a good used one to save some cash. The choice of radio is tricky, but have a look at the RadioMaster TX12 I reviewed a while ago. It's not expensive and I really rather like it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIytpraMZpeTpbg.html

    Whirly Bloke ok, that radio looks pretty decent. Might just end up buying that. I was more looking for the game-style controllers... the iflight if8 controller was nice because it came with a nice set of goggles. That way I just get the controller, receiver, and goggles in one bundle. Would I need to solder the r81 frsky receiver onto the taycan, or does that plug work with any frsky receiver? I think for the drone I will definitely go for the 4s 3” taycan though. Will I just have to 3D print my own GoPro mount for that drone? Coming with a GoPro mount was one of the advantages of the taycan 25, along with the ratel camera. So would you recommend I just go with this, or should I buy the drone used to spend a bit more on a nice transmitter and goggles? I just want everything to go easy 😂. Thank you so much for the help. Learning a lot. Earned my sub!

I am new to the subject, I don't know how to fly very well, I have a TBS Source One 6S, that's why I would lean more to the Taycan 6S, since I have the Source One batteries, but on the other hand I am afraid that the Taycan has a lot of power With 6S, what do you recommend? I want to achieve a stable and pleasant flight. Is the flight with 6S very unstable?

    I didn't hear you talk about the bidirectional dshot. Why is it good that it's turned off? I have the problem with my Taycan that I wobble around a lot when I quickly "fall".

  • @WhirlyBloke

    @WhirlyBloke

    3 жыл бұрын

    That wobble is yaw washout. It happens to most ducted cinewhoops and is due to several reasons. The main one being at low RPM, the props have a harder time moving the air because it has to be pushed through the tunnel like ducts. This extra resistance can stall the motor and that corner of the drone drops and it wobbles like fury. The best solution is to increase your throttle idle % in betaflight a bit - a few percent. This doesn't eliminate it, but it keeps the props spinning more at low throttle settings. If you make it too high, the drone will take off on min throttle, so don't go mad with this. Also, don't do manoeuvre that induce it. Keep sharp turns fast and don't do sudden throttle chops.

    Quick question for any quadcopter expert. After a few years hiatus i decided to get back into quads. In my opinion Diatone always made great products and great bang for buck. As such, i bought Taycon 6s without any research or due diligence. Very disappointed with Diatone now. Connecting peripherals, sensors, rxs, etc used to be easy. Why do you suppose Diatone added an F411 flight controller if not to cut cost? Two (2) UART on a "cinedrone"? Am i missing something here? Appreciate some insight and commentary....
