Fabulous! Thanks for sharing such personal details about this event, it gives it so much more interest. 1991 was one of the many high points in Diana's illustrious career- It was her 30th anniversary in showbiz, The Force Behind the Power album, When You Tell Me That You Love Me reaching No2 in the UK during the Christmas Holiday period and of course her star billing at the British Royal Command Performance before Queen Elizabeth.

In 1997, Mugler created his “Angel” parfum cologne for Men. It was sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, my former employer, for the next decade. It became my signature cologne and is still to this day. I also own several pieces of the late great Mugler’s men’s clothing including a suit. His men’s clothing is not quite as dramatic as the fabulous women’s line. But it is classy and I still own it to this day. My mother always taught me to buy a quality piece or two rather than a wardrobe of disposable clothing. Needless to say, it is because of the relationship she and Thierry shared. I’ve always loved the French designers, in fact my first sport coat was by Yves St. Laurent. I was in college and it was far beyond my means…….in fact, I created a big financial challenge for myself. It is wonderful to know that you actually attended this legendary show filled with the first supermodels of the day and the debut of Tracee Chambers in kind aka the fabulous darling of style, Miss Tracee Ellis Ross Silberstein. The only thing I might have added is “You’re Gonna Love It” from her landmark “The Force Behind the Power” to the soundbed of the runway. So thanks as always because “When You Show Us Who We All Love” you’re as always our hero!!!

Wow! Thank you for this unique info. I like the “AngelMen” name out of selfish description. I love the. Body Cream too but it seems it’s no longer available in the states. It’s interesting about parfum. I can hardly smell it anymore. However, a friend says that is distinctly how I smell. I like that. I do hope one day we will get to meet. I plan to return to France someday soon as my great grandfather was born in Lyon, during WWI moved to Paris and then escaped when Hitler came marching on Paris. I’m very proud of whatever amount of French heritage that I have.

WONDERFUL…….Again, I remember this well.

The fashion show was absolutely fabulous and Thierry Mugler was an extraordinary designer and his designs were pieces of art.

This was amazing. Can you tell more Mugler stories. He was an amazing man. Were you at The Ritz Show? Loved The Superstar Collection.

Thank you Nate, I was at the Ritz, The cat walk was on the swimming pool and a clear star was cut out in the center which allowed you to see the water. It was a stunning collection and the highlight was Cyd Charis revealing a beaded stocking through the slit of her black gown. Just amazing.
