I can't believe so many people think Devon was actually trying to win. This is how he trains, puts himself into bad positions on purpose, doesn't use his shoulder so he can focus on strengthening weaker points, etc.

Devon was just back from a brutal boxing match against Hafthor. He had lost a lot of weight and muscle due to the boxing training. Usually boxers take a month or two rest before showing up for training again. Also this was after many pulls.

Wasn't acting, this was after his boxing match with Thor. Wasn't training AW for like 6 weeks and this practice was right after the match. Devon was pretty beaten from the "change of life". :-) Suhail did well this day ;)

This training was really funny .Such a training with strong man when you are tired and no strength left very good preparation for match with Levan. Because I may suppose Levan will have advantage of rough power.And Devon must prepare himself to deal with it. Like Aleksey Voevoda when trained for John trained against 3 strong armrestlers simultaneously where he was in disadvantage position from the beginning.

But Devon holds him because he wants to increase his strength by holding the strongest man at the bottom so he can increase own strength by doing it again and again and holding it multiple times.Thats a technique arm wrestlers use.

Yes you're right! Devon could take him easily if he even practiced "seriously" .. he was just being light to Suhail to gauge his strength, which he understood that Suhail is not an amateur.. so Devon increased his practice pull strength at the end , just to show that he can hold off Suhail's full force.. But if Devon really goes at 1,2,3 go, then obviously it will be an instant pin by him.
