What a fantastic video. 2 legends just talking, discussing, and hanging out on a video call as good friends. It's honestly the community that makes this sport so great. On the table it's war, but off the table most get along very well with each other. People are always ready to help, give advice, hang out, and are just friendly in general. It's an amazing sport with a very unique community, and I hope it'll stay like this for many many more years.

Every community is more-or-less that way. Musicians are much the same - competing for the better riff, better composition, better sound, better ticket sales, better venues...but are always willing to talk about the things they love, jam together, whatever.

@@saltedllama2759 In combat sports like Boxing, MMA the communities are not so friendly, especially the athlets / competitors among themselves .Armwrestling on the other hand, which one can also count as a combat sport is different in this regard. So wihtin combat / fighting sports armwrestling stands out imho...

@@johnmcmillen4540 Yup, 100% agreed. I've been part of other communities and I can say for sure that the armwrestling community stands out amongst those. Maybe it has to do with the fact that it's a rather small community compared to other big sports, so that it feels more like it's one huge "family" rather than a gathering of millions of randoms that don't know each other.

This could be a series. All the "old" legends discussing present day arm wrestling while hilariously figuring out new tech. This will be the greatest tech review channel ever.

Gotta thank Ryan for helping John finally getting his KZread channel going!!

Crazy how even with John's humility he's able to motivate someone like Devon in this era of armwrestling.

John's KZread channel is blowing up, at this rate, I assume he'll set the record for fastest 100k subscribers reaching in the armwrestling society. Love it. John is a Legend in everything he does ralated to arm wrestling

I was thinking the same thing. I think he’s trying to throw some hints out there that he’s not that good. Yes he’s old but the way he beat chance was insane. He made it look like a walk in the park. It’s the experience that can still make him be a top threat in the sport. I don’t think he’s beating Levan or anything LOL but he can beat a lot of top pullers still.

I didn’t follow the sport when John was destroying everyone so I feel Lucky to see John excited to be back in the sport and be active.

John's nodding but thinking, "naw, living in a dorm with other arms wrestlers for two weeks is not on my bucket list!"

Truth be told. Devon taking a lefty match with Levan is a death sentence for himself. Total anihilation and embarassment for the Canadian legend.

When in reality .... if his shoulder can just hang in there for another couple years, he can do some SERIOUS things.
