christraven Actually, the drum parts to this tune are pretty easy to get through. It's just triplets between the snare and kick for the majority. I love playing it as an exercise in co-ordination as it's also easy for drummers to lose focus and sync. :)

This song is about Devin's battle against his problems. The creature represents his fight against his bipolar disorder and his inner demons. Telling him "this boy must die". He must overcome his problems. But it never goes away. "I survived". But Devin overcomes them and "Nothing ever bothers you know". He uses his problems to help him as the creature is powering the train. He takes his problems and uses them for better. A very thought out song.

I tend to look at this video as his new, calmer self trying to remain separate from the more chaotic part of him (that fueled SYL) that is being held at bay by the woman, who is either his wife or the drugs he takes to remain in such a calm state. Anyone else get that vibe from this?

This song managed to create what a Mortal Kombat fight might actually feel like. Maybe that's what made me love it more. It's like Devin meshed "The Pit" & "The Church" from MK3 together but added Metal & took influence from Danny Elfman. It's... incredible.
