    please add skill deployment location function in game this is MUST HAVE option for skill like leap strike This function exist in archeage also this exist in WoW and all good players use it by adding skill in macro /cast [@cursor] leap strike

    Will it be possible in Ashes of Creation to act with objects in the environment like in Guild Wars 2? Use a wooden plank as a weapon or a stone to throw? Next Dev Uodate Question :D

    "as developers, you're not gonna hurt our feelings but we need honest feedback, we need to know what sucks" this attitude is what gives me hope that this game will be good, if they can genuinely work with the community and take suggestions on board then great! ive been dying for a new MMORPG and had my eye on this for a long time.

    Really nice combat. Love the feeling of weight and impact. I especially like the talent design. All the talents are actually meaningful, not just some filler fluff. Niküa also look great as always. I say this every time, but your artists have an uncanney ability to make character models memorable and interesting by their design alone.

    Intrepid shutting down all the doubters with Q&A and all the info provided after the fighter showcase. Feels nice, shows that they are not tone-deaf to community concerns. Also, Keenan ninja looting the quest item twice is such a mood xD. I respect that.

    @@StuntinOnTheDaily This Blitz skill goes up a cliff. Explain how that is realistic. Terrain should affect gap closing skills. if they don't, it's basically magic. And your argument is that it doesn't LOOK like a mage?

    Question: There is a lot of talk about mid-game, end game and leveling processes but what about the New Player Experience? How will Ashes maintain the presence of new players as the game ages? How will they keep dungeons fresh? Raids Fresh? for newer folks? New Game Experience is how it keeps the new memberships going.

    Watched the highlights on Narcs video and it looks very fun and engaging, the abilities look like they're impactful and also look pretty as well! but I won't know for sure Until I test it in beta

    It looks amazing. I really feel like auto attack could use more love. Could possibly add more impactful series of swings to make them more visually pleasing but also added speed. A nice variety would be good too. Auto attacks have always been so underrated in MMOs

    @@blankwords8912 Thats the plan, rogue auto attacks will be a bit faster but as this showcase showed the 2 hander, the attacks were a bit slower but delt more damage

    The first half of Fighter preview was insane, watching Steven click on loot instead of engage in combat killed me inside lol. Fighter is the direction we want to see most combat in Ashes going, it's the first time I saw combat in Ashes and said "Oh my god! that's insane" that's the sweet spot.

    No it looks already outdatet af! Compare this to the Dune MMO or Archeage 2. They take way too much time, this game will look old and outdatet when it releases.

    @@Seb7anArcheage 2 is not in pre alpha, it’s supposed to come out next year. These games have already gone through development passes, we just haven’t seen them. Compare how AoC looked in 2021 to how it looks now and then correlate that to how it will look in ~2027 when it releases

    Only if you are a pvp fan. I for one wont play if they don't have pve servers or they separate the game modes. Like in other mmos. They will chase away all pve people who love story and endgame pve.

    @@Ragnar452 Good thing there's plenty of PvE focused mmos. They have been very clear that they aren't trying to draw in PvE exclusive crowd to begin with. Half the systems in the game rely on pvp activities.

    @@salutations4686 I am not against pvp I do play it sometimes. I just don't like forced pvp like in I fish in a place and bam, 4 people attack out of the blue kind of pvp. I am all for small arena pvp or large scale world versus world like in gw2 or eso. Super large scale battles but as separate game modes. If that makes sense. I mean did you really love the grievers in WoW or even eve online? Or the campers? Remember in wow when a lvl 80 was killing all the low lvl players just for fun to the point they were forced to logout? Fun times. I can see a lot of that happening with open pvp everywhere.

    @@Ragnar452 I hear you and i've played the games you mentioned and experience greifing, i'm just saying that ashes has been clear the whole time about being a PvX game, unlike the games you mentioned it actually has many open world systems built from the ground up with pvp in mind. It also has the corruption system to help prevent greifing like you're saying, it will still happen but it will be far more punishing than wow. Also the trading of goods in ashes is meant to be far more important than most MMO's, and having the risk of PvP makes everything more valued and helps gives players a way to take care of bots etc.

    I recently saw a very cool combat game you have, now I’m very worried about the optimization. It would be very cool to see this combat in a realistic setting (siege, completing tasks in the open world, etc.)

    there's a big reason why we didn't see any of that and why it was tested in a staged setting like it was, the game seems like its a LONG ways away from that. Was I the only one that saw the grass, tree's and fires spazzing uncontrollably all over the place in the back ground?

    There were a few things I wish to see. A skill like brutal cleave but had a long distance attack like maim. A skill that allows you to deliver a storm of quick slashes to your opponent. A skill that allows you to pierce your opponent with a spinning attack. A skill that allows you move 90 degrees or 180 around your opponent to attack. If Steven was using a shield I would love to see the character useing the shield to roll on the enemy back or to the side and use the sword to stab, or using the sword and shield for a deadly hug.

    My feedback for the visuals of the spell effects : Amazing , perfect , it reminds me of that old school DAOC or Warhammer feel and i think thats a really good place to be and im seeing that fun and thoughtful colour design consistently across all of the classes, its really aweomse guys. the heal lazer might need a larger cooldown to prevent lazer force in big battles but that was the only problem i noticed in a previous stream the one with the wagon_ but if thats what you guys want im cool for that because the heal lazer looks cool too , everything looks so good!

    Le jeu est réellement beau, la sensation et la difficulté que dégage les combats sont agréables. Gardez en tête que vous ne pourrez jamais combler les envies de tous les joueurs, faite au mieux et surtout sortez un jeu fini. Le plus important, n'est pas le nombre total de compte ouvert, mais le nombre de gens qui resteront à moyen et long terme pour enrichir l'expérience.

    Hey AoC, In terms of difficulity to item power ratio. Will loot make you powerful and how scarce is it? I can explain: When Vanilla wow came out decades ago, loot drop was very scarce. If you got loot you were super excited. Loot on the other hand now is super abundant and it lost its "rewarding" feeling. I remember if got a blue item you were over joyed... And if you got a purple epic item... Well. You had to change your underwear. Also, the difference in power between a green, a blue, and a purple item was huge. So the upgrades made you feel all powerful. How is AoC going to approach this? Steven says that he wants the game hard, which means the loot won't make you very powerful. So is the difference between epic loot and common loot small or? And how often does high end gear drop?

    hard is good for long term game as long as it not boring. You just passionate to grind those glowing sword for 100 hours just to show off while idling despite dealing tremendous damage. It's worth it.

    For fighter build spec, I don't want it to be too much like tank/guardian. For builds, think focused dps vs swap target dps, such as some famous swordsmen who could win 1 on 1 duels, or could take on 2 targets. Were they fighting the 2 simultaneously and cleaving with each attack, or were they actually swapping targets. I'd like something that rewards target swapping, such as increased chance to shaken as swapping targets, or increased chance to shaken as you focus one target. Whether this is built into momentum or not would be other options.

    Kudos on the tremendous Fighter showcase. I must say, each presentation keeps getting better and better 👏🏼 👏🏼 Bravo on the work so far, it is paying off! The fighter looks amazing 🤩 I think you are on the right track with each class to date. I thought the animations are amazing and the effects are just the right amount. I would like to see positional attack styles. For instance rush someone and hit them in the back for a trip, or use X attack on the side for an extra bleed or snare or weaken, you get the idea. World environment - Spawn camps should be able to support at least a few groups attempting to complete quests in that area - Unless you design certain spawn camps to create conflict between players - Have NPC quest givers offer quests designed to go against other quest lines. Examples: Quest line that leads to killing a named mob vs Quest line to protect named mob. Or A quest line to eliminate Minotaurs and in doing so expands the undead territory. And vice versa with killing more Undead gives the Minotaurs more territory. - On respawns would love to see an enemy Cleric / Shaman pop up out of a cave, from behind a tree or some other hidden place and resurrect the defeated enemies, instead of the respawns popping up out of thin air. And create class / mob specific resurrection animations, like the glorious one the cleric will provide players. - I need submersion, I need to feel like the world around me is alive.

    I feel like there is a need for a skill tree or page for the elements or non elements that your character have unlocked that influence your game play and visual effects much like the weapon.

    I kinda wish that the items that a player could craft can be weightless and can have a higher stacked capacity when on the player who crafted the items or equipment and a 20% bonus when the player who crafted the items and equipment use that crafted item.

    I know there's a lot to be tweak about animations, but I hope so much they fix some of the "skating around" I'm seeing on some actions. A game feels so different when they nail every interaction right.

    I know most people know about 1 2 3 style of button layout but i wish more would put in BDO's button layout. Just so satisfying to play with. They sat down and thought how can we inprove this.

    Since the first time i heard about this game and started waiting for it I: finished collage, was working at 1 job for 4 years, Changed it for another 1, Left job and for half a year was unemployed with depression, Got a mushroom deep trip and accepted myself, because for 15 years i hated myself, bought a tickets to leave the country via plane, and try to start new life. Lets see whats future bringing to me ;D Tbc.

    I was overall very impressed with the showcase for the fighter. I thought most of the animations and particle effects were very well done for still being in development. I hope you guys will continue to touch up on the animations and particles in the future. To me the auto attacks felt lacking, but that may be because they are just simply auto attacks. There wasn't really any flair to them, but again it's probably meant to look more basic since they aren't abilities. I think some of the skills could use some tweaking, perhaps. The momentum spending short dash for one. Maybe you could have it differentiate between two different animations. If it isn't connecting with a player, it's just a dash, if it does connect with the player it's that dash with the slash. I feel like there should be a lot of subtlety in the skill differences, if possible. Like I mentioned with the ranger showcase update for example. Having the backflip have different animations depending on movement input. I think these kinds of things being universal would add a lot of polish and refinement to the classes as you guys continue to develop them. Of course I know this is still in development, this isn't the final product and I am hoping that the combat and feel of the classes will only further improve and skyrocket in the future. As you know arguably one of the biggest things to get right in an mmo so I just keep repeating myself in saying I hope you guys truly do continue to develop it, polish, add more, and really make it feel great. So far it's definitely a great leap forward in the right direction, continuing to tweak movement, attack animations, etc is something I hope to see more of. To me the movement that you go through when running around looks quite...basic. There's no momentum, no...'weight' in how people move? No weight to the character's actions. Players shouldn't just full stop when they stop holding W, etc. Maybe add in some lean? When a character stops maybe they can skid to a halt if sprinting. Movement feel and the fluidity of the dodging, etc is something I'm also keeping an eye on and hope you guys continue to touch up. Keep up the amazing work.

    Steven said something about auto blocking. My thoughts on that is I don't want the player characters just standing in one place with thier shield I want the the players to block as a reflex to all the attacks so they can sit back and plan counter move or be able to attack while the player is in atuo block that way it looks like the player have some moves when they don't.

    I am really enjoying the ability visuals. Clear telegraphs the abilities and looks amazing. The auto attacks seem really different from other mmos. It makes me think of quick, precise, and powerful blows. One moment you see the start of the swing, and it's finished. Makes me think of a really skilled warrior with impactful swings. Warriors may be my least favorite archetype, but this has been my favorite showcase from Ashes so far!!

    Will there be potions other than standard HP and Mag pots? For example, a potion that increases attack power for an hour. Or Mag pots that also increase spell power for 60 sec

    I think there needs to be more CC on the skills, I saw some hard-hitting skill that felt weightless when he was attacking the cleric, and some Knock backs, stagger skill and knockdown effects would make the weight of all the weapons come alive.

    I am watching all of the stream, I am a supporter I want to work for the team. 1:44:44 constructive criticism , i only have 1 real issue so far, the Goblins are too vocal, maybe the attack speed is ramped up with your abilities which is changing how frequentt it is but ...just noticed the repeativeness and constant to the goblin sounds are degenerating from this wonderful masterpiece ,,, the globins combat noises just needs more variation with quiet breaks etc., but they do sound cool and fun!! its just like too much of it which is the issue. Really loving what i saw with the fighter , the leap abilities, all the other abilities, the combat archetypes, so cool great job guys, and i really love these streams ,thank you!

    I understand that risk and reward thing but make sure the risks are not a hindrance to having fun cus if it starts to give people anxiety and too much tension then it will overtime make them give up and leave the game. Make sure Fun and enjoyment comes Along with all kind of risks.

    PVX: I am excited about PvX. The reason is that you can always decide how to deal with other players. I am a big opt-in PvP player like in GW2. That said, when playing open PvP servers I like the fact that I can choose to kill mining and farming bots that destroy the resource markets. New World was a classic example of the mass effect of mining bots’ impact on the market value of resources. Not that you will eliminate them all but knowing they can be dropped and looted for resources is extremely nice. The last thing I want to see is an army of mining bots strip-mining an entire node barren of critically needed resources. If you, your guild, or citizens of a node can self-police your lands from bots all the better for the game's economic and social health. Using them as resource piñatas when you roll up on them is going to be nice. Also, PvX ups the fun and excitement factor. It forces solo players to hone their skills of evasion and stealth while traveling the lands. It also forces players to group up and work together. If you see one of your citizens getting PvPed in the node you will be more likely to jump in and assist. If people cannot handle the risk-reward, then find another game. PvX does not mean 100% PvP everywhere all the time 24/7. It just makes the game feel more alive and truer to adventure, risk, and reward. The game is looking better with each update. From the development update with the Fighter, combat is moving in the right direction. I cannot wait till all the class-based kits are flushed out like the fighters. The revamp of the weapon trees is moving in the right direction. I appreciate that the weapon choices and your selections mean something and are not just a useless time sink that does not have an impact on your build. I would love to see different combat animation modifications based on selecting a top tear tree ability. Your base attack animation would change a bit depending on what you choose. I appreciate that mana and momentum have an impact on how you play. Resource generation and management are skill-based and party-based. IN EQ2 and Wow burning through mashing high resource skills too fast can put you into a bad situation and impact your performance. Mashing buttons just on cool-down timer rotations is not fun after a while. Knowing you are fighting a mana-leaching class makes you approach a fight differently as a heavily mana-dependent class like a mage or healer. The GW2-like condition stacking fighter bleeds to make it harder for the healing class to keep up with your dps output and have burn Mana reserves quickly is very nicely done. I like the GW2 condition effects have different effects. The fighter bleed staking impacting dps more if your target runs or moves. Being able to customize and theory craft is always nice. Having only one or two meta builds for every class is not exciting. Combate is looking good. Combat animation for the Fight and Mage are looking great now. They visually look impactful crisp and clean now. No longer filling up the whole screen with flash bang effects that cover up your ability to see the fight. The bleed effect on target needs work. I would also keep working on the AOE spikes that pop up from the ground. The effect itself look awesome but might need to work on the spikes. Mage spell effects are so much better now. I just want the ball lighting effect is moving in the right direction but still needs work. I hate covering up mobs with slow moving visuals that cover too much up. The ball effect needs to look more transparent like a plasma globe. Blizard and cone of cold look greater now. Keep up the good work.

    can you guys make an option for UI elements to be switched off or on? for example I always loved to play with less info as possible on my screen so I feel more immerse. I would love to be able to turn off the name plates, health bars and mainly that glowing circles under every target or player

    Will there be any systems in place to support single/casual players in finding parties for group content (e.g. dungeon finder, recruitment chats)? Will these playstyles be viable in the open world, or will you be dependent on constantly finding players to group with? As someone with limited time to play I'm worried of being unable to progress through a vast majority of content without spending a lot of that time looking for a party

    One follow up question about the death penalty. Will there be bags that reduce or even negate the drop penalty for loot in exchange for smaller space so ppl can save their lost valuable items if needed? Also i really want the implementation of booby traps that you can keep in your inventory that explode when another player tries to loot your corpse.

    While I understand making Ashes a more difficult game to master, on Death penalties depending on the number and severity, can take most of the fun out of the experience. The question about the numbers is an important one because players will leave the game if it is too harsh.

    im new around here. i have a question will this game have a rogue class similar to the one on classic WoW? that class was the best class imo i love how it felt like a glass cannon and i loved the fact that there was a lot of defensive stuff we could do for those awful match ups that rogue has like mage. one example is that skill the rogue had which i could blind anyone and it would take me out of combat so i could hide back to stealth mode for when i was in a situation were i think i need to dip out before gettin killed. there was another defensive option too iirc that would allow me to reset the cooldown so i could go on stealth twice if i needed it. i love the fact that as a rogue i can decide all my combats engagements by attacking while being on stealth mode. please model the rogue class based on classic wow they almost did everything right with that class.

    Also, showcase some outfits with no cape / skirt. Where's the pants, where's the bikini bottom, where's the proactive figure or the subtle efficient deathly rogue. I want to appreciate the full animation by seeing the full leg into the torso as they kneel low and then leap into their power smash.

    Will there be an option to click the loot with your cursor rather than with a key? It causes you to have to tilt the screen quite often. Overall, this game looks amazing I cannot wait. Great job!

    I've never understood the theory behind having an XP debt on death. It slows progression and penalizes risk taking. It also tends to impact certain classes more than others. Especially in pick up groups where some players will be much quicker to scatter when things get hot. This can have the impact of creating social niches where many players avoid grouping with others outside their niche. To the best of my knowledge, the existence of an XP debt on death provides no value to a game. On the other hand, having a push your luck mechanic with dropping some held materials is a fine idea. I can see this working with the dynamics of the evolving local mobs/weather/etc. When the next quest in a chain appears, do you take the safe route to return to base to bank? Or do you push your luck to try to score the kill on a new boss mob or such.

    When is this game coming out!!? Can't wait! Just watched a video that explained how the developers are taking the weight and motion of weapons into account when used by characters. This has really never been done before. Hats off to you guys for making this so detailed. So for feedback - this likes a great start for this class. Really like his abilities. Sounds well rounded. I've said before, and I'll keep saying it, but - you need to make the health bars/name bars larger! And appear! During this example, you kept hitting the other player, but his health bar wasn't even showing! When they do show, they are just too small. I think a game benefits from having active block actions instead of passive ones. It looks like you guys are having this feature which is great! I'm not sure how I feel about the fighter using mana. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me, mostly because no one else has really done it that way, and maybe it'll make sense in time, but right now, it feels weird. The blood/bleeding effect is a little too much as well, I'd suggest scaling that back a bit. These are minor things, though, because the game looks fantastic! You guys are doing great work!

    Were you trying to make the reincarnation of the sin of wrath with momentum and exert. Because you forgot some skills. One that allows you to heal yourself and restore your mana the longer you fight. The second skill you need is one that boosts your stats as you fight. Third skill that allows your health and mana to regenerate after reaching one point in health. Fourth one is a clone technique. The Fifth one is a skill that allows you to be immortal for 1-5 min on your last hp. The last one is a passive skill to level up all your combat skills faster.

    I'm thinking about the other 6 sins. Pride would be a crafter that is a jack of all trades that can make the best weapon or items with the fastest time and be able to master every profession and be able to gain exp from the items that pride has crafted that other people are using. Pride also gets a 20% buff or debuff when using their items that have created to the items they have not created. Gluttony is a druid that gets its skill and beasts transformation from the animals or plants they have hunted and gathered to cook. So basically Beast boy that have to eat meat for his power and can do half partial transformation Sloth is a summoner with telekinesis and soul contract that allows it to sit back and give commands from its flying mount or from its hiding spot that is invisible. Basically Professor X mix with Danny phantom who is a summoner. Envy is one who can copy any skills or abilities and see the flaws with their eye technique which allows envy to be the best doctor and assassin. Basically Kakashi from Naruto with medical skills. Greed is a mage who collected stuff. Passive skill can allow them to find hidden and non hidden treasures of all types and be able to carry all the things they can collect. Has a body that allows them to absorb every type of element and unending amount of mana in a short amount of time. Lust is Prince charming that is a Bard with sky high charisma and a voice of a dragon that can breath flames and can find things or people with echo or sonar locations and their voice is very charming. Their Passive skill is a universal language skill that allows them to communicate with any person, Beast, or animals Which allows them to make friends and gain skill depending on how deep the relationship is will determine what skill it is and what level.

    Mob density looked good id only say don't forget to make it so that a smaller group can whittle away at the area as well. Something like... If it takes 10min with a group of 8 it would take 40min with 2 players. Don't balance it for smaller groups but be mindful i guess of layout and spawns.

    i do like the talents but I wish the tree itself was branching out differently and giving me more ways of finding a unique build. Animations look awesome, the combat sounds and look very good. I don't know how i feel about the tempo yet. In PVE it looks awesome but in PVP it might be a clusterf of abilities and effects. I think I would prefer slower animations where I have a chance of countering whatever is coming. But maybe thats my old formsoft brain speaking. keep up the great work!

    Hey! I loved just about everything that the team has done with the fighter archetype but one thing. Since when has the mmo community agreed that fighters are also vampires? Why is it that blood heals a fighter/warrior/beserker? Solution 1: Instead of healing with blood (vampirism) how about incorporating "Adrenaline". Adrenaline could be the ability to replace the vampiric ability. Instead of healing for a smaller portion, the fighter could mitigate damage (pain) for a short period of time and that mitigation could be equal to the healing of the vampiric ability. Solution 2: Why not just increase the HP pool size of a fighter so that it doesn’t affect the class fantasy? Is a fighter healing really a good choice? Again, just make their HP pool bigger equivalent to the guesstimated amount of healing done from vampiric blood drinking or whatever. So if the fighter were to heal for 400hp, why not just increase the fighter's hp by around that much? The fighter wouldn't be a tank, it would still be a fighter but slightly more beefy. Thanks for reading this. The animations look smooth and sick. The leap a bit cheesy but cool. The exert ability and stances are amazing concepts. Love it for the most part.
