Your correct but it actually still used Navistar engine management.

Can I ask questions

Where could I find one of these in, I’ve seen them in one rv but I’m not spending 46,000 for an engine lol

I found quite a few for sale via google search. The engine known as the Series 40 is actually the International/Navistar DT engine. The 7.6 litre Series 40E is the DT-466E and 8.7 litre Series 40E is the DT-530E. Detroit Diesel and Navistar signed a distribution agreement in October 1997.

@@theenglishmechanic. I know the dt466 was a good engine but what about the dt530 I can’t find much about them

@@mercalliobs2648 its basically a dt466 but larger. same with the dt360 which is just a dt466 but smaller. any old DT engine will last forever and are great engines.
