    The new designs are amazing, and Joerg is without doubt a genius, but I'm thinking that we can actually hear how powerful the devices are by the time between firing and hitting the target. We obviously can't do that with any accuracy just from the sound, but I am sure we can get a pretty good idea. So getting to the point, it seemed to me that the first arrow firing catapult Joerg showed us was the most powerful. There is barely any time between release and impacting the target.

    That 3 foot rubber band stretched out to his eye worries me! If you break the top rubber band, it could prove painful when it slaps you in the face! Maybe a small shield to keep that from happening would make me feel better?

    I saw a video about a German gun that was designed to fire caseless ammunition, I think it was called the G11. The video was titled "Krout Space Magic". It's on the forgotten weapons KZread channel. My dad was stationed in Germany for several years and is where one of my sisters was born, I still get a chuckle out of how the world perceives German inventors... mainly because it's true.

    Add a downward grip post (as you've done in the past) to the end of the far end of the slide / receiver to allow your awesome one handed draw power retention. This would require a long slot (length of draw) in the new fork feature to accommodate the new grip post, and the fork would need to be extended maybe 5 - 6 cm past the far end of the slide when relaxed. The fork slot would be closed / bridged at the far end for strength & stability.

    Another brilliant invention from my favourite inventor and engineer! You've done it again Joerg 👍🙂. Question: Would it be possible to have a hinge on the barrel in front of the stock, so to fold it together and make it easier to transport?

  • @Slingshotchannel

    @Slingshotchannel

    4 жыл бұрын

    Maybe but the hinge needs to be super precise without any dead play. Otherwise the arrow flight will be impaired.

But as always, out ingenious inventor found that too and eleminated all the unnecessary bulk, just to replace it with some "new features". :-) Great work!

    This is a great development in terms of moving the sling anchors away from the body to build more tension , and thus more power; and there is still the potential to move the anchors further ahead, by using a sliding system to that triangular base to extend it a couple feet further away to shoot, but contract it again to pack it after use. Nice going, keep up the good work Joerg.
