Hardy I love your work! Thank you for these incredible videos. I've been practicing for two years now and your edge control comments and showcase in videos transformed my painting skills to a higher level. I definitely want to take your course but as a father with a small baby I'm having hard time with pacing so I know I'll only have an hour or so a day to watch and practice, hope to take it sometime during next year once I have some more free time. Till then I'll keep watching your YT videos!

Thank you so much for sharing your brush technique & opacity control! i've been looking for a digital painting class and then gave up ...maybe I'll give this a go.

Thanks! That sounds awesome - let's go villainous :)
Hey Hardy! How do you change your brush opacity & flow that fast, while you keep painting? It always bugs me out because I have to stop my flow in order to ajust the settings. Another awesome video once again! Thank you for everything you do!

Thanks! Glad you liked it. I can definitely help with that - keyboard shortcuts! To adjust opacity, just hit the number keys and it will change by factors of 10 (3-30%, 9-90% etc.). Flow is the same thing, you just hold down shift. I have gotten really quick with these over the years so sorry if it just seems to be changing like crazy in this sped up video :)
Dude absolutely amazing design and I love your style of painting! I'm a 3D student if you were open to it, would it be okay for me to make a project out of these concepts? No problem if not!

Hi Bahaa, I'm happy to share those. I have a basic pack I can give you and I'm pretty sure a lot of these are included in it. If you are on our discord server, just reach out to me there and I'll get the abr file to you
Trying to breakdown character squads rn I realized two things. Ubisoft is really down bad and me and my friends suck at character picking in games

the magenta top def worked better, has her stand out a an individual but her main design ties her to the other characters

Thanks! I was happy with that pivot. They were looking really homogenous as a group before that.
I don't understand why she would have that kind of contrast btwn her clothing and skin, if you're looking to make this kind of sniper/utility character, muted colors would probably fit much better. Maybe this plays into the character's personality, they might have a bad habit of attracting attention to themselves or something like that, and their poor clothing choice serves to reflect that? This looks like a character that's meant to be seen. I don't get it. Your brute looks like it could sneak around better than your sniper/utility character could. I don't know anything about design though. Take this with the smallest grain of salt. still like the paintings, very cool

Oh totally - a lot of these choices are style and trying to look cool at the expense of functionality. I think there is a spectrum of game and film worlds that go from highly grounded and realistic (like Call of Duty and James Cameron movies) over to highly stylized (like Overwatch or Arcane) and this was trying to fit somewhere in the middle. Completely valid points you have and if my client came back with that feedback, we could certainly clothe her in black or give her more stealth.
A gun pointed at the crotch is much worse than the face? Only if you live, lol.
