They're also getting rid of gifted classes, claiming that students should all get the same teaching and not have one group above the other. What results is the intelligent being held back in order to not 'upset' those who aren't. Equity is horrible. It doesn't lift everyone up to the same level, it cuts everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

DEI is what is encouraging students to chant "from the river to the sea," to intimidate Jewish students, and to live in tent encampments that are difficult to police for safety. The current protests and encampments make it much easier to pull the plug on DEI as a whole.

Tennessee here - we are having the same problem in our private schools. I had to pull my 8th grader out of school after they changed their history course to "social justice" The course work and required reading was crt, pro-feminism, lgbqt+whatever and unfortunately because my son is a heterosexual white male he was being discriminated against. This all came about when administration changed. A historically conservative school gone completely woke...and discriminatory. He is in one of our public schools now and thanks to our state and local government we aren't seeing it in the public school. You all keep up the good work.

If the federal government guarantees the grants/loans that are accrued by every student, if they default, than you will have universities create more and more useless (yet required) credits to graduate. Get the federal government out of the education system and you'll see all of these useless courses drop from the required list. You'll also single handedly lower the cost of tuition. Tuitions didn't increase every single year. Until the government got into bed with higher education.

DEI initiatives are the implementation of CRT. They were never "well intentioned." People saying that they thought about good intentions completely ignored or were cowed into believing those narratives and did absolutely nothing to stop them until it was too late. It was allowed to happen because enrolment numbers skyrocket when a university adopts courses of study that offer degrees to people who wouldn't otherwise qualify for any degree at all. Back then we called them "underwater basket weaving" because that's how useful those degrees are.

I worked in a company that had a Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion department led by a woman of color. However, quickly it became evident to me that this position seemed more like a symbolic gesture of virtue signaling than a real job. Contributions to the company are not there, her actions were, in fact, detrimental.. She spent more time in leisure activities, eating, chatting then doing anything substantial, yet she received a higher salary than mine, who would bust his ass every day. Not only that her presentations constantly pushed "white guilt" on us and man people walking on needles when it comes to interaction with ethnic and LGBT minorities because of fear not to offend somebody, it openly bred contempt for this woman among the employees which made a toxic environment as she obviously had a BS job and too much power, and white people were getting fired for ridiculous reasons (micro aggression..) just to be eventually replaced with people who had no clue how to do the job, who obviously needed training before getting such responsibility, and made big mistakes on the way that effected all of us. I already had a fight with her, and I think the only reason I'm not fired because I'm an immigrant who has a darker skin tone and has an accent as English is not my first language so I fit the criterion of diversity I guess. For example now In our team, we had open positions and a pressing need for new employees, especially those with fresh perspectives and skills in the programming sector. Finding qualified individuals was already challenging because of lack of people in general, and the DEI department just made it harder. This made the hiring process very difficult, as it appeared that the department considered (i'm not kidding) straight White and Asian men as insufficiently diverse for the job -_-' I'ts like I'm living in a dystopian Black mirror episode but i'ts real life.

4:27 The woman who is trained in journalism just said her organization focuses on outcomes and not intention. I’ve learned that this mindset is a part of the problem. An individual’s intentions are very important and allow for compassion and empathy when someone makes a mistake. An example: someone unintentionally uses the wrong pronouns. In some states they could go to jail for this! What a horrible outcome for someone who wasn’t intentionally trying to cause harm to someone else’s feelings. Intentions are important.

Your example was a person being respectful and using proper English language, and being punished because of an insane tyrannical law. She meant she focuses on the LAWS results, not the LAWS intentions. The POLICIES results, etc. so if the LAW fails you, or if a policy fails to do what it said, it is a FAILED policy and needs to be reworked. If a person does something with good intentions, we recognize that: self defense vs murder. Both result in a dead person but have different consequences for the perpetrator.

They are imbedding DEI and CRT through employee HR trainings. They are mandatory every year, every employee, and if not done they threaten with firing. It is currently happening in Texas community colleges. I think the trainings are intended to mean well but it has been a way to justify how HR and College leadership for their reason of reverse discrimination in hiring practice. It should be a blind hiring practice but they made race be part of it so they can “appear” diverse. Now those who are doing the hiring are doing EXACTLY what Caucasians have been accused of doing for so many years prior. They forget, they pushed the DEI, and CRT HR trainings of which has taught the employees how to identify what they are now doing, and taking taxpayer money for. It will never stop. It has made nothing more diverse nor has it made any location more inclusive. It’s a sham. If it had been handled better from the top down, our college would have naturally became diverse by hiring the best of the best as opposed to throwing “qualified” out of the equation and moving “race” as a qualifier. They are breaking laws and Texas policies. This has also built up a system of bullying. Whether by intent or just by natural choice on where to go to school, the college’s policies have now caused a decline in white, Asian, and Hispanic student populations. College students are not aloud (or they are bullied rather) from creating clubs for conservatives, Republican, independent, and religious student clubs.

Sadly, CRT is being taught in many different names: Anti-racism, ethnicity studies, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), SEL (Social Emotional Learning), but it all comes down to Cultural Marxism. Most students and parents very much enjoy cultures and recognize that the United States is the most multicultural nation in the world. Anybody can be or become an American, an ideal based not on group identity but the freedom and power of the individual. A much better alternative is the Between Two Worlds coming-of-age series by Alan Hidalgo for high school and college/university students. This English Language Arts curriculum is based on classical multiculturalism, which recognizes that culture is an ideology and not a skin color, and that all people have a set of primary and secondary cultures based on their national residence, their family upbringing, and their own personal choices throughout life since cultures can be added or subtracted by free will. Unlike cultural Marxism, the key goal in this series is not group identity, division, and a false dichotomy of oppressor and victim, but rather individual equality, individual merit, and cultural competence i.e. the desire to understand cultures that are different than our own and to learn how we can objectively evaluate culture and communicate effectively with people who may possess certain cultural characteristics different than our own, and in doing so, most often we realize that as human beings our needs and desires and goals in life, for the most part, are the same in many ways as we are all of the same human race with similar biological and psychological needs and wants. This unique ELA series is composed of Between Two Worlds: A Multicultural and Multilingual Anthology, the Between Two Worlds Student Workbook, and the Between Two Worlds Instructor Manual. There are ten unique novels, each with a unique cast of characters. All novels possess high interest and relevant plots that young adults can truly relate to, and each novel has a prominent central theme that promotes character building through traditional values and life principles. Prominent themes include the following: personal identity, bullying, sports and athletics, family dynamics, romantic relationships, peer pressure, bullying, immigration, education. The Student Workbooks also teach higher order thinking and personal awareness as well as vocabulary development, reading analysis, in-depth essay composition, and the Socratic Method. More States Gov should follow your lead, to MAGA, not bringing down America, as this current administration have done following/continuing the lead of his former boss (we know who that is) who is pulling and controlling him, who hates America.

A step in the right direction. I hope this leads to a better system. I will say when he said that 'this is the type of thing you'd see in the CCP'..it wasn't a good phrase to use. China doesn't allow any of this woke crap. They ban it, and mock it. Merit is their main focus. They even have a slang term for it, baizuo, and it's not complimentary. They may do some horrible things, but when it comes to education and avoiding the woke virus, they're doing far better than most countries. Even their social media uses the same adrenaline focused system, but instead of it rewarding arguments or sexuality it rewards learning and curiosity.

I entered USF 1978 (Tampa) as a 17 year old Freshman. Sociology course focused on Gayl and Lesbian normalcy even among species .. they had wear Jeans 👖 if you are gay ( again normalcy) and the Student sponsored Midnight student film at the student center was a Porn Film. At UF the big joke was at Century Bell Tower every time a Virgin graduates a brick falls... hence its the safest place on campus. As a young impressionable kid it seemed institutionalized normality. Now 4 decades later the products they created the students are a mess.. Now as a father of 4 daughters and 3 sons the humor is lost on me.
