Sam LaPorta… what an amazing first year so far. Still three games to go but he has been a crucial part of this offense. I drafted him and people laughed at me and said I needed a better TE. I didn’t think he would have THIS season but I thought he was made for big moments. He is that guy. Detroit is going to be happy! Hope it keeps this way.

Facts new fan here and watching this process from across the league for a few year… 😭 I’m bought in. Phenomenal drafting. Great culture. Now to be consistent and grow. Dan will get better with clock management and pushing his OC and DC to get better. They’ll address a run clogger in the draft and maybe another old/DE. Then probably stock up on OL and this is a competitive FRANCHISE for another decade. I’m excited

As a Lions fan I don't think this team is ready yet(maybe 2025 will be their year?) but you never know what can happen in the playoffs. Win the division and secure a home playoff game then go from there.

Even though Kevin Harlan misspoke a few time, he still manages to bring the intensity on every call that a lot of other announcers just don’t have. It’s why he is my favorite announcer no matter the sport.

This was a really strange game, and that call was part of it, made zero sense. The Lions getting a couple calls go their way in the same game was downright bizarre. Denver not going for it on 4th down while the game was still barely in reach was inexplicable also. As a Lions fan, I just don't know how to process this...

Tonight was all about the Lions running the ball with Gibbs and Montgomery. Getting the running game going really opened up play action for Goff to hit his receivers deep. The defense played a very good game also, now it’s about sustaining this effort on both sides of the ball if they are to win a playoff game

Not a Lions fan but it’s great to see them turn it around and have so much success after years of losing. Going from one of the worst teams in the NFL to one of the best in just a couple years is incredible. I’m not surprised though because Dan Campbell is a players coach and the type of guy you’d really want to put out for.

I was lucky enough to be at this game with my brother! It was incredible! I’m real happy for our guys on defense and of course, the offense was a joy to watch. Go Lions!

Man if this team can continue getting healthy. Melifonwu finally finding a way to be impactful. To think there's a chance of adding McNeil, Houston IV, and Gardner-Johnson to this group. That would be a shot of adrenaline for this defense. And low-key like the play of Kindle Vildor. Just gotta hope they can get healthy for a playoff push.

Sam LaPorta seemed like a tank in this game. What a beginning for the rookie. His best performance by far. He scored a great hat trick and I’m sure it was one of the best nights of his life. Wish him the best… .

Well, I did not predict this. The way we've been playing on defense I thought Russ would pick us apart. But we came to play tonight! Finally a COMPLETE game on both sides of the ball. Playoffs here we come. Go Lions

I think this is further proof that we need to be nothing but all in on defense this offseason. Well, more like 99% defense, 1% OL.

​@@sosmooth13- Couldn't agree more. I was saying that last season. Our offense was not the problem, but obviously Gibbs and LaPorta have been game changers... Defense still needs more solid foundation

Feels like every team this year has a "huh" loss and a "wtf" win. Nothing surprises me anymore this year.

@@sosmooth13 I would change this to 99% pass rushers. That's the glaring weakness. No big play ability in the pass rush from the down 4. Need a DE.
