Those referees were atrocious today. Taking 7 off the board for the Lions then giving them a bunk PI call on 4th down. Lions shot themselves in the foot a lot today but the refs were especially bad. Also Keenan Allen looked like his younger self today, they literally couldn't stop him.

As a Keenan Allen and Amon Ra St Brown fantasy owner, this was an absolute win.

Super tight game. My Lions came out on top but the Chargers were monsters out there as well! Great game fellas!

This was my first Lion's game I've ever attended as a fan since a child and I never expected such a great game from both two teams. Such an amazing experience, especially as the Lions fanbase seems to have come out of nowhere and make these home games for teams away games. Pretty marvelous to see both offenses absolutely rip each others defenses apart. My dad has been to 8 lions games now in his life, and this is the first one in which they've won. 7-2!! GO LIONS!!!!!

Not really. A FG does no good when the Chargers were getting TDs on their last 5 possessions. It was an easy decision.

If the Lions miss there, the Chargers have the ball at about the same spot as they would have it after a kickoff. Yes, a FG is easier to get than a TD, but the Chargers were moving the ball with ease and scoring TDs every possession. Considering game flow, there's a good chance they would score a TD again in the last 2 minutes, and at worst a FG to tie it. Instead, you go for it, because you're already 75% going for it on 4th down this game, and then the Chargers have 0% chance because they have no time outs to stop the clock. Patterson is probably around 85-90% from there in his career. The decision to go for it there puts their win probability probably around 70%. Like I said, it's an easy decision.

What a terrific game. There was a little bit of everything and a whole Lotta points. Fantastic runs, tight throws, 4th down risks, diverse play calling, just really enjoyable to watch.

Keenan Allen is a monster! One of the best (in a long line) of NFL players to come out of Cal.

With this tight win, Detroit is now 7-2 after 9 games this season! Hope the Lions continue winning and get a great playoff position! This coming from an NFL fan from the Philippines.

Keenan Allen is HOF as it stands now; the rest of his career is gravy. Smart, productive and clutch as hell, he's been excellent for a long time. We might hear more about other receivers but he just keeps putting in quality season after quality season.

I am 55 years old and the closest I saw the Lions get to a Super Bowl was in 1992 when they beat the Cowboys but got destroyed by the Redskins in the playoffs. Will I see the Lions make the Super Bowl in my lifetime? This may be the year.

Gibbs and Monty are an insane duo to have to deal with. They have to completely different styles and comliment each other. They're on a completely different level then the rest of the NFC North

I think the lions are the most exciting team to watch this season. They always have some cool play design or superhuman vision with their RBs. Very fun to watch.

Goff/DET go to 7-2 on the season. This DET team is showing some toughness and fight. I'm happy for their fans because they have found a way to lose a winnable game. Their fans have went through to much and it's good to see them have something to cheer for. Congrats on the win DET 👍.

Was at this game. It felt like a Lions home game. I was in a sea of Lions fans. It was awsome.

This easily wins game of the week!! What an offensive shootout between the two teams! Even the Chargers fans are satisfied of this game overall. Montgomery running TD really gave me a heart attack 😅 Everyone really stepped up on the Lions offense. But the defense urgently need to improve their game on the upcoming match. GG Lions and Chargers! On the side note: Even the highlight guy knows that Sutton DPI call was BS and doesn't dared to include the slow motion replay in the video. 🤣🤣

It's a Major MAJOR concern. And these morons didn't make a single move at the deadline. We can barely beat .500 teams and get decimated by decent teams

What a game , i am a old bills fan , i am so happy for lion fans, i remember the barry sanders and herman moore teams , keep it guys !

They have a hard time with a mobile quarterback, that means they'll have fun chasing Dobbs all over the field the last few weeks of the season. There good when they face a statue like Garafello

The two headed monster of Gibbs and Monty is going to be scary. If you don't stop that good luck trying to beat this team.

Lions offense is like a 7 headed Hydra... Ra', DMo, Gibby, SLP, Jamo, Serpent, Lief! Can't wait to see what DPJ adds to the mix!

I think Romo is their biggest fan, and for good reason. The Lions offensive play calling is really exceptional and clutch catches by St. Brown and LaPorta.

I couldn’t have been more wrong about Montgomery. When we picked him up I was like meh, he’s ok, overpaid. He’s been absolutely fantastic for Detroit.

I've learned to never doubt Brad Holmes...and I have doubted a few times but proven wrong. Remember we are STILL building this team through the draft. This isn't the finished product. We have players to resign but a huge amount of cap space next year. This team is in great position for sustained success

It's the future. Many are late to the party because they don't have the stones to go for it. It is so difficult to defend anymore that you just can't give away the ball and a lot of times you can't even settle for three. You win games by keeping the ball away from the other team and scoring TD's. If I'm across midfield and its fourth and five or less I'd rather have a coin toss chance of keeping the ball than 20 yards of field position on defense. Unless it's near the end of a half where time is a factor.

This was one hell of a game

Detroit's offense is scary!

For years the Lions have been so close to winning so many games, never giving up fighting until the very end. Great to see all their positive attitude and effort finally paying off this season. I hope they win the Super Bowl.

Chargers have had 100 one-score games in the last 10 years. That’s just insane. The heartache has been unreal to endure it. That being said, I’m proud of how they played against a very good Lions team. Congrats Detroit, yall have a great team.

I disagree. I'd rather be consistently bad every year, than be off season champions and have our hopes shattered every year. That said, hope the Lions make WAVES in the post season 😤💪🏾

Though the Lions squeaked by, it was a road game, Herbert is an elite, franchise QB, and the Weird Chargers were on a winning bender ... solid win for the Lions; CONGRATS LIONS!!!

Campbells decision to go for it on 4th and 2 at the end of the game was the difference maker. I could just *FEEL* that Patterson was going to miss that FG and it would take the chargers 2 plays to get into position to win it.

I am a lions fan but I wish they would have flopped this one. They just are not ready on defense to do anything in the playoffs. It is infuriating they didn't make any moves at the deadline.

Gibbs this dude is a beast with insane running skills, reminds me of Barry Sanders.

Chargers defense is back to #32 in the league. They gave up 530 yards and 41 points today.
