Dallas Texas DP | Production Vlog Behind the Scenes
This was a jam packed shoot with Headshots, Stock Style Photography, Group Photography, Testimonial Interviews, Interior + Exterior Broll and was still able to capture some BTS. This was another dental agency shoot I did as a one man band.
Actual footage from the shoot is in the vlog.

    I can be very tough to perform on camera, so making it a conversation and not an interrogation is a huge plus. Just asking the question over and over again does not cut it. Thank you coming back to watch my vlogs!

    I hadn't seen this one. Great job coaching the older woman through the interview. I spent years shooting one man band interviews and that was always the most challenging part of those shoots. I'm impressed that you get through a long shoot day such as that without an assistant. I usually try to budget one in whenever possible just to keep on schedule. You wear many hats well my friend. It would be amazing to bring help on all my shoots, but usually it is not possible. Hopefully I can change that in the near future. I can’t even count how many interviews I have setup and been in charge of ask questions. It has become second nature for me. It is a skill not everybody can master, it can be very challenging. I am very thankful to have the gift of being chatty. It seems all my shoots involve me getting overloaded and run into the ground. But that is part of the fun. Thank you for the kind words and support!

    As a fellow corporate videographer, I laughed during the interview setup because I have said nearly the same things verbatim. "Don't worry if you make a mistake, we can cut it". "If you need to start over, just pause for a moment, then go ahead and do it again", "make sure to restate the context when you answer the question". Great seeing you work. Also, ended up picking up an FX3 and A7IV after watching some of your other videos. I'm Dallas based, so maybe we'll bump into each other some time!

    It takes a lot of skill to make people feel at ease. So many of these testimonials are just normal folks that have never been on camera. Wow, never thought somebody would get cameras from watching my videos. That is awesome to hear. I am trying to work out a way for us locals to meet up with zero pressure or ego. Free of charge too! I know we will bump into each other soon enough! Thank you for watching and coming back!

    100% truth, all the kit in the world does not make for good captures. That is why cell phones are become dominate in some spaces, content over gear.

    Amazing insights. Did you charge the Practice a day rate PLUS raw footage or did you just supply them with the raw footage as part of the day rate?

    Thank you so much! This was with an agency, so it is a shoot and dump situation. I am only involved when on site shooting. We have agreed upon rate. I have been contracted with the agency for over 4 years.

    What's the size of your rocknroller? Which size would you recommend to carry 3x 40" c-stand?

    C Stands on a RocknRoller are tough. If you plan to put that weight on it, go with the bigger setups and the added cargo bag. amzn.to/3JC64vl

    How is the Zoom F3 working for ya do you use timecode with it or just clap sync or audio sync in post?

  • @PDMokry

    @PDMokry

    Жыл бұрын

    I have the deity timecode system. It does not work with the F3. If I need timecode, I use the F6. The F3 uses BLUE by Atomos. I currently use a clap and a line out to camera to help sync the two cameras. I went with deity for the slate and future upgraded audio with built in timecode.
