Denny Hamlin Reacts to 23XI's Pit Road Problems in Las Vegas

Спорт

Denny Hamlin is back from the NASCAR race in Las Vegas where he was more successful off the track. He recaps the race and discusses 23XI's pit crew problems. Denny reacts to being asked questions right after the race about 23XI cars, and claims he's tired of hearing about Joey Logano's webbed gloves. Denny reacts to Rajah Caruth's first win in the Craftsman Truck Series. He then talks about winning a black jack tournament, and goes over some NASCAR 101 in DEAR DENNY.
Do you think the Chevy teams will continue winning?

    For whatever reason over the past several years, I was never a fan of Denny Hamlin. However, after hearing him speak as a guest on Dale Jr.'s podcasts, I have become a big fan. Denny is probably has probably the most well thought-out opinions and perspectives on NASCAR and I really enjoy listening to him. I now find myself rooting for him every race!

    Hi guys, I'm and old NASCAR fan from Italy. I think that the great problem of NASCAR (and many more others forms of motorsports) is that cars' speed doesn't change during the race. If there are fast and slow cars as Denny says, fast cars go ahead and then someone makes almost 600 miles in the lead as Truex Jr. few years ago. Instead, if we've got just slow cars, everybody travel close to eachother but nobody can overtake (as we saw at Phoenix). What it lacks is when there are fast cars with new tyres and then slow down as tyres wear, fast car with worn tyres that overcome from the rear as laps go by and most important cars that suddenly change their speed as track conditions change. Don't you remember the Coke 600 and the Southern 500 in which there were "daylight" fast cars, "sunset" fast cars and "night" fast cars? Nowadays a car goes fast from lap 1 to the last one.

Yesterday the guys in the booth said that with the new bodies Toyota now has the most amount of downforce but also the most drag, while the Fords have the least amount of drag but also the least doforce while the Chevrolets are somewhere in between with more downforce than the Fords but less drag than the Toyotas, now today all of a sudden Denny is saying Chevrolet still has the most downforce which was the case last year but changed with the new bodies from both Ford and Toyota which is why last year the Chevrolets had an advantage on the road courses and most of the shorter ovals, Ford had an advantage on the super speedways and Toyota had an advantage on the intermediates and a few of the faster shorter ovals

    The TV deal next year will absolutely kill NASCAR viewership.As a Canadian viewer we have difficulty getting races at best of times.TSN network for Cup and Xfinity which is OK but need to spend extra for Fox Sports 1 repeat clown network for Qualifying/Practices/Truck races.5$ a month isn’t that bad because NHRA also broadcast.If TSN doesn’t pick up all the races(unlikely) then I am done paying/chasing to be a fan.If they wish to build viewership/fan base I guess just keep making it more difficult is a route:probably not the successful one.7 years is too long to recover if this gamble doesn’t work.Blowing off a lifetime fan (60 years old)probably.

  • @CanuckIV

    @CanuckIV

    Canadian here too. That is my fear as well with the new TV deal. TSN is the only network that covers NASCAR here. I can't stand TSN for various reasons but I have no choice if I want to watch NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series. Unfortunately TSN doesn't cover The Craftsman Truck Series which sucks cause it is a interesting series to watch. Reason 1 for not liking TSN is for some reason they CAN show the entire pre-race show that is covered on FS1 and FOX (For example) but they don't. They will show the last 30 minutes of it. I know they can show the full 1 hour pre-race because they will play THE SAME "NASCAR Most Outrageous Moments" episode that they have been playing since 2022 during a time they could be showing the pre-race instead... Doesn't make any sense AT ALL! Then when they do get to the pre-race: "We now present you what is already in progress" message then pan to a interview already half way over with Kyle Larson for example. It's extremely annoying. Reason 2 for not liking TSN is they CLEARLY don't care about NASCAR. It could be the most boring sport like "Curling" and if it is on while NASCAR is, Curling will be on TSN 4 while NASCAR gets pushed to TSN 5. No matter which sport it is , NASCAR gets treated the worst and it is USUALLY on TSN 5... Reason 3 for not liking TSN (this doesn't happen too often but still pisses me off) is that sometimes if FOX for example says they are going NASCAR side by side commercial break, TSN would go FULL SCREEN COMMERCIAL BREAK! And now my worries about the TV Deal. FOX and NBC I'm not worried about because im more than certain TSN got us covered there. As for Amazon Prime: Canada does have Prime... but will it be one of those "This is not available in your region" messages when I attempt to watch a race? I would CERTAINLY hope not! Mind you I have a VPN, I could always switch to a US server but not everyone uses a VPN or even knows what it is. Not to mention it's not 100% reliable either. "TNT Sports" I believe is the other? Is that a network station in the States or is that another thing you pay for on "Discovery +"? I just checked Discovery +'s website and we do have it in Canada but guess what network is not on there for us? Thaaat's riiiight: "TNT Sports". So now what? We just get screwed over for 5 races?

Everybody and their dead grandparents know MJ... millenials and younger know who Bruno Mars is, but even of those groups, I bet at least 60% of people wouldn't even know him if they saw him; they've just heard the name or a song of his. Sooooo, Toyota should have copied Chevrolet's design??? Why doesn't Toyota just do that. The new Ford definitely looks a bit like a Chevy, and it has for a couple of generations.

    FOX sucks! Camera angles are absolute garbage, show the whole field not just zoomed in on the leaders the whole race with the occasional cut to a pass happening, Mike Joy has got to retire and overall Nascar broadcasting has got to loosen tf up, have some fun and get rowdy watching the race, Larry Mac and DW were just talking having conversations watching the race and letting us listening in, while now u can tell everything about the broadcasting feels so artificial and not genuine excitement, I watched ONE F1 race and not a fucking thing happened but damn those announcers are pretty damn excited and it radiates to the audience. Nascar has a million problems but the biggest is the broadcasting, make that shit feel like a college football game and people will tune in

    I dont care 2 hoots about how Deny Helmet finishes, but it sucks for Reddick. I love to hear Deny cry about the chevys being better. He sounds just like bucktooth Brad crying everytime the fords arent as good as the competition.Ive lost all respect for Denny.

    I don’t like Hamlin, but you Chevy guys will do it too once Toyota starts taking over. It’s happened all through the history of the sport. Everyone cries when the competition is beating them.

    So Rajah winning is good for Nascar. Why? Because of his skin color? Not because he's a good person and earned it? I am just now starting to pull for Bubba because of his slow and steady climb to being a better racer and not a "diversity" product.
